Not to mention a lovely host Mr.Stein was. You can use microwave,oven and coffee maker of the reception itself. Also the place is pretty clean. A motel but with a high standards of cleanliness.

Mr.Stein is a great host, I recommend the place for his great hospitality.

Excellent for the price and best for Troneheim with a car

We stayed in April 2019 at the Motel. The good part is that prices are low, and rooms were OK clean. But, this Motel need a lot of TLC. The wash basin in room was cracked, the panel oven broken, a picture on the wall had broken glass etc. etc. There is no food to be bought, and no breakfast at Motel. Food store near by, also a couple of basic Pizza restaurants. Parking is free.

Low cost Motel

This is a distinctly no frills motel but if all you want is a shower and a place to sleep followed by a reasonably varied breakfast at a good price for Norway then this will be ok for you. If you want anything more than a room and a bed then you will have to pay for one of the flasher hotels. I found the staff really helpful. The breakfast was Ok - certainly good for the price with a selection of meats, eggs, breads and such laid out in a buffet style. Strangely I thought this Motel could very easily step up from Average to good without too much effort. For instance, no Wi-Fi in the room, had to sit in the (pleasant) lobby to use Wi-Fi. No kettle in room - but could get hot water from the coffee machine in the reception - little things - but I was happy considering the price I paid included breakfast and the bed was gorgeously soft (If you like a hard bed then maybe mention that when booking?) which gave me a really good sleep

No frills but a lovely view and a soft bed

You read right, this place has definitely seen its better days. The bed was harder than a rock, the kitchen definitely needs some renovation. Not to mention that there were, during my stay, a few too many drunkies. Room smells like mold...

On the other hand the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and if you're lucky you'll make new friends with the goats and turkeys whom roam the premises.

Trondheim's asylum

Check was easy, room and sleeping was ok. Bathroom was clean, but roof in the bathroom was not good enough! This should Vikhammer do something about ASAP!

Ok, but not more then that

I was very dissapointed in this place. The price was good, the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Other than that the positives are far between. Members of the staff was sitting outside the front door smoking when we arrived. That should have been our firt clue. It smelled old sigarettes at all the entrances and outside the one near our room there was 3 big jars of sigarett stumps, the small was terrible. The owner has also stored some old car wrecks on the property. Come on people. the sigaretts jars were disgusting.
