Arrived to a locked door and an empty reception, had to ring to be let into the hotel - this was at 2pm with advertised check in at 3pm. Very helpful staff during check in and apartment was very comfortable (even if the rooms lacked doors). Was not given key code to hotel and had to phone hotel upon return every time. Breakfast was delicious and the views glorious. However, we came for skiing only to find the hotels own ski lift only operated on a weekend, something which was NOT advertised on the website. Had to get the bus to neighbouring slopes 10-20mins away. Would recommend a car for this hotel.

Comfortable but not what we were expecting.

This used to be a hotel, but they changed the description to Oppheim Apartments. So I think any private person can buy an apartment and rent it out. There is no reception. 

Cons: We had to clean the room we rented ourselves when leaving. There was a vacuum cleaner and different cleaning products, although it didn't say how much cleaning we should do. And no towels were available for cleaning or dishwashing. Also there weren't many electrical outputs, and not any in the bathroom. The beds were not very comfortable sleeping in. No stores nearby. Cups and bowls were not cleaned after use but just put in the cupboard. So we had to clean everything before we could use it. The apartment is very close to a main road = road noise.

Pros: We got an email describing how to get the key which was in a key box further down the road. There was one towel per person and bedlinen (beds had been made), but this you would think were a standard feature. Fridge, stove, oven, electric kettel, utensils for cooking and plates were available. Shampoo and soap were available. Very nice view over the lake from the room.

Not a hotel anymore

Their web page is deliberately misleading and they design it to give different impression than what they have, as we have booked the best family apartment they have long before we came to the hotel, we are three adults expecting two rooms apartment as shown in the web page pictures, when we arrived at 11 pm after long drive from Bergen , we were shocked to find out that the bedroom are without doors and the beds is located in open area with no privacy , and instead of receiving an apology for the misunderstanding we were challenged to find any words in our reservation stating that we have rooms in the apartment , and we asked to stay one nights only as per cancellation policy he refused and insisted either we pay the full amount for the 4 nights or we cancel and be charged for one night penalty and leave in the middle of the night in nowhere place, which made me and my wife and daughter with no choice but to pay NOK 9000 for a room do not worth NOK 900, also we have to stay with the balcony door open because of the heat and as it was a common balcony other guests standing in the balcony where looking at us in the bedroom which had left us with no privacy at all, there is a lot to be improved for this hotel but first of all is HONESTY ;;; and to tel people what they are expecting and not to trap them in the middle of nowhere, I have stayed in my trip in cheaper hotels with much better rooms and facilities, it is a pity that such nice location hotel have such management.

“A nice view Hotel with bad management”

This is not a hotel
- no reception
- no breakfast/restaurant
- no towels
- no bedlinen
We arrived at 21PM and there was no staff. Fortunately other guests could tell to go to another hotel 500meters away to checkin. At this hotel you were offered to rent towels and bedlinen! Fortunately we didn't have to pay extra for the bed.

So if you are looking for a hotel: go somewhere else.

But great view from balcony - but road noise.
Also you can easily hear your neighbours on the balcony - only a low glass fence is separating you from your neighbours. Our neighbours were from India - so we didn't understand what they were talking about anyway...

This is not a hotel

Great WiFi.  And there the great part stops.  The ad says many wonderful things about the property, but you will probably not see those the room you get.  Our room was advertised as two bedrooms.  It was not.  It was one small, emphasize SMALL, bedroom and then a closet sized area where two bunkbeds were.  The living ares was too small for four adults.  This room might be okay for a family with 2-4 kids, but don’t plan on four adults using it.  We got another room for the second night so the other couple could have a bed.  That room was bigger, but the room with the bed also had two bunkbeds right next to it.  This hotel can only cater to families with kids that don’t plan on spending time in the room.
Also, when you arrive, there is no one there.  No one answered the bell either.  You have to go back to the hotel 500m or so down the road (says bed and breakfast on it) to get the keys for Oppheim.  And, they will give you bedding because you have to make your own bed.  I do NOT recommend this hotel.

Don’t be fooled

We booked this place through  hotels.com and we paid in advance. when we got to hotel there was no one there and the place was  deserted it looked more like a poor motel then a luxury hotel as the owner choose  to  advertise . 
We tried to call to the owner but his phone was not connected. in the end we had to book another hotel that evening. We never had something like this before and we travel a lot. We felt that we were cheated.
