The location is great, specially for winter when you can ski in and out which I love. It has a nice atmosphere and good service. Free breakfast included with lots of options, and you pay by room which is good for families.

Excellent lodge with basic accommodation but very clean and tidy. Great value for money! This is a place in the middle of nowhere and you can only reach it by car. On the feet of a mountain, it offers an opportunity for hiking and other outdoors activities.

This was our 2nd time to stay at Helgatun & we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a room inside the main lodge. Nothing fancy - two single beds, a very few other items of furniture, & a small private bath w/shower. There's a sitting area with a TV & breakfast was included in our rate. A sweet Christian lady has operated this place for years & for those who want enjoy snow skiiing, you're in a good location to hit the slopes or do cross-country. Lovely area w/waterfalls & other beautiful natural scenery galore. There were also individual units out back, but we haven't stayed in any of those.

We spent two night in this lovely chalet, it was summer and we were alone, we enjoyed the hospitaly of the owners, very nice people.
The service was customized to our need. The location is wonderful. We suppose that in winter should be great for skiing.

What a wonderful hotel!

Just to let you know, this pension is owned by a Christian organization. That's probably why they have a small church-room in the main building. :-)
It's a non alcohol hotel, and the rooms is spartan when it comes to furnitures. But the beds are okay, and we slept well! :-)
The breakfast is plain Norwegian. They have some small signs on the tables asking each guest to clean their table when leaving (it's written in Norwegian, so all foreign guests are excused...;-))

An rather seldom experience 

The good:
The room: Comfortable, no more no less
Breakfast: Very good, good variety, tasty, clean. 
Cleanliness: Very clean
Value for money: A little bit pricey.
Location: Good.
Parking: Plenty and free.

The bad:
The room is small the bathroom is big...
