The location is great when you plan to visit the city by bus: bus station is just in front of the hotel. All the staff is nice and helpful. This district is the Indian one and then full of amazing and delicious restaurants ( such as Woodlands!!)

Good value for money 

- located in Ruwi area, many people from Pakistan, India

- basic services exist
- far from being luxurious. 

Overall, not a bad choice. Before taking it, check whether some better accomodations exist at the same price.

Not expensive, proportionate quality

We chose to spend a night there because we had to take a bus at 6am and it is located in front of the bus station. The hotel is clean but you should not move the furniture. The hotel is noisy because of the bus station but also because the staff keeps making noise all night long. We had the room just above the reception so we could not sleep because of the noise. Good point for the hotel: room service all night long.

Poor 

Okay for the travellers.. A hotel within the city with access to bus stand... Near to the Ruwi Qaboos mosque and CBD area.  Neat and clean rooms.   Affordable rates.   Near to the bus operators to Salalah and Dubai

Easy Access from City

It was a long bus ride and the hotel is right at the station.  As a walk in, he quoted 20 rials per night.  I decided to eat and compared it to another place nearby.  He came down to 18 rials like the flexible pricing system in Egypt.  They charge for sketchy wifi usage which reaches the lobby area only.  Ruwi is not charming and one needs to take the microbus or taxi to Mutrah's Corniche on the port with more hotel choice.  Even further is Old Muscat , location of the Diwan's (ruler's) Palace.  Turns out that Ruwi is hopping at nights for the shops closed between 2-5ish for an Omani siesta.  They don't call this area "Little India" for nothing as I was eating naan, Peshawari kadai, pakoras; parathas; and chana masala.

O man, I thought I was in India

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, yet provides affordable stay. Food has to ordered from nearby restaurants since this place doesn't have their own kitchen it seems.
The best part is you can easily get a Taxi or a bus to anywhere you want to go.
Bathrooms are not that great but manageable.
Distance to and from the airport is a bit, around 30-45 minutes to be precise, however if you are in town for work you would want to stay here only because businesses and banks are located close by.
