Out of the din of Bocas Town. Peaceful and beautiful. One dollar taxi to town. Right across the road from Big Creek beach. Very relaxing spot with lovely rooms. Easy access to everywhere. I recomend this place to all my friends. You can't go wrong booking here.

Great atmosphere 

We absolutely loved staying here. It is a beautiful location with beautiful gardens just a couple of minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Boca Town. Joel is an incredible host and gave us really great recommendations for the islands -- places to see and restaurants to go to. If you stay on Isla Colon, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Hidden Gem of Bocas!

The casitas (just 4 or 5) and main kitchen/relaxation area of this small B&B are spacious, beautifully made from local wood, and tastefully decorated with mementoes of the owner Joel's travels around the world. The casitas also have large and comfortable beds and good air conditioning and so are great to stay in given the 80 degree + temperatures outside. Joel himself is one of the most delightful people we have met in many decades of travelling - courteous, generous, intelligent and interesting, and striking the perfect balance between great friendliness and hospitality, and giving people their own space. Joel provides breakfast and gives guests fridge space and the opportunity to use the outside barbecue for other meals, or to make hot drinks inside, The location is about 2 miles from Bocas town - a very interesting, if sweaty, walk or 1-2 dollars by collectivo (depending on whether you go to the door, or a road junction a few 100 metres away). Scully's restaurant and pleasant beach is about 10-15 minutes walk in the other direction. Also enjoyed watching humming and other birds in Joel's garden, and saw a howler monkey just outside the property (others saw a sloth too). Highly recommended.

Beautiful rooms and setting, wonderful host

My sister and I loved our one-night stay at Casa Abundancyah. The bed was huge and amazingly comfortable, with such a beautiful blanket and hand-painted mural in the background. Joel is such a sweet host, and helped us get the taxi in the morning for the airport and made us a great breakfast. He also gave us some great recommendations of where to eat and drink that day! The beach across the way is not the nicest, to be completely frank, but we did not really explore Isla Colon at all so I cannot speak to any other beaches.

Beautiful casitas in a lush garden!

The place and experience was truly amazing. The owner was gracious to invite us to the island locals Thanksgiving that Casa Abuduncyah, such hospitality. Thanks Joel! Off the beaten path, which is just the way we like it and filled with so much charm.


Tropical Hospitality 

One of the most beautiful accommodations on our trip, the property is beautiful, the bungalows are big, beautifully furnished, the bathrooms are very clean, the owners are absolutely nice and the breakfast is lovingly made and super delicious.

Beautiful facilities and enchanting bungalows

Reading various comments, we didn't want to stay directly in Bocas Town: even though it is a small town, in the evening everything concentrates on the two streets that run through it, there is no quiet but only noise and people around. Casa Abundancia is a 5 minute B&B by taxi (in Bocas the pickup taxis constantly travel around the village and surroundings) or 10 min. by bike from downtown, there are four casitas of rustic style, but equipped with all the necessary comfort, bathroom, air conditioning, safe and wifi, in a garden, with flowers, birds and suggestive sounds of monkeys screaming from the trees, managed by an American, Joel, who moved here.

It's like being at home!

A perfect location on Isla Colon. A little out of the city - 5 minutes by taxi - away from the noise and bustle. The hosts are adorable and attentive to our every need. The rooms are splendid, airy, very well designed. The breakfast room is paradise - open to a lush garden - breathtaking views of the continuous journey of hummingbirds. The breakfasts are of very high quality. What more can I say... it's perfect.

Hello, I want to tell you that we arrived at Bocas del Toro without reservation and a few minutes from the village we met this marvel. A place impeccable in every sense, the owner is in every detail attentive. The breakfast is unbeatable, the facilities very comfortable and with very good taste, besides it is surrounded by trees, plants, flowers, hummingbirds, monkeys etc. etc...if you are going to be there no search elsewhere this is super recommended!!!
