Loving it here at the Hotel Sagitario in Menorca. It’s a small hotel with a big heart. Great service, lovely food and we have had some super entertainment in the evening. This beats the big hotels hands down. Small is good, holiday in Menorca  is Hotel Sagitario.

Home from home

It was 35$ for a room of 4 People (fan - no air-con). Although slightly cheaper than other hostels, the place is a wreck. When we were taking shower, they had to use buckets in the kitchen area below as water would drip through the floors. They provide soap and towel. The kitchen is dirty.

Cheaper, but not good enough ...

We payed just 20 us for a double room, probably the best deal in town. Room is small but clean with an attached bathroom. There is a nice balcony with small (bad equiped) kittchen where is nice to spend time in the evening. 1st floor is probably the best to stay.

best for the price

Our friend made the mistake of booking this place for 2 weeks as everywhere else was booked out. By the end of the two weeks I actually had gotten used to the sound of rats in the walls. Had to buy our own cleaning products for the bathroom as I don't think it had been touched since being built. We were not able to get a refund. I try to forget this experience. !

Gross

I don't know what all these other reviewers whining about. Perhaps they are cheepskate surfers and are used to sleeping on a beach for nothing. But for travelling solo, there is no better deal in Bocas del Toro than Sagitario. Most other places charge you the same for a dorm bed as this place charges you for a room with a private bathroom, fan and TV. The rooms are kind of cozy, all in wood. You even get daily maid service in your room. The only complaint is that wifi only works in the common area on the 2nd level, not in your room. Not that big of a deal if you ask me.
