We came here to celebrate our 50th birthday with friends. We had one of the best experiences ever. The off the beaten path resort offered relaxation, delicious food, amazing service, quality facilities and rejuvenation! There was no retreat while we were here but we did daily yoga, surf lessons and massages. We did not want to leave and highly recommend Sansara (although want to keep it a secret because it is so special)!!

Don’t miss this gem!

Sansara is a hidden paradise in Cambutal, Panama. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, the facilities (pool, yoga shala, spa) are well-maintained and readily accessible, the staff is exceptionally welcoming and eager-to-please, the surf program is excellent, and the food - oh, the food! Everything was delicious, prepared with care and presented with flair. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sansara.

Experience the Ebb and Flow of Panama

The time I spent at the Sansara Retreat was an amazing adventure. The owners are so welcoming and accommodating. The Yoga instructors were phenomenal, challenging,  encouraging and . The food was delectable and they catered to my very picky needs. It was overall an incredible  experience.
I hope to return next year!

Incredible adventure

Went for a week-long yoga and surf retreat and was blown away! The location and resort are absolutely stunning. The surf is perfect for beginners and life-long surfers alike. The food deserves to be in Bon Appetit. The spa is heavenly. Janel (owner) and all the staff were kind as can be. I recommend it unconditionally and hope I get to return sometime soon!

Sansara is a Stunning Sanctuary

This place is gorgeous and amazing! The staff, the food, the scenery, all top notch. Highly recommend. Loved the salt water pool, the yoga space right on the beach, and the food was spectacular. Literally only complaint would be the housekeeping was a little slow to respond to small requests such as more towels or toilet paper. That's the only reason for 4 not 5 stars.

Fantastic

We only stopped in for a lunch snack but I can tell when I see a nice venue. The snacks we had were presentation creations. The juices were very nice too. Service was friendly and the location is charming. For sure we will book a retreat there some day soon

Sansara in Cambutal is an oasis in Panama. I joined a yoga & surf retreat with House of Asana. Their team has perfected every detail & their excursion guides were experts. A must book & will be back. 

Yoga & Surf at Sansara

Booked this trip for my wife and I and could not have been more pleased. Here’s why…
-Beautiful location on a black sand seemingly private beach. 
-Exceptional accommodations. The rooms alone are reason enough to go! But beyond the room, the whole resort is such a vibe.
-Plenty of activities you can opt into (yoga, surfing, hiking, boating, turtle nesting, spa). Everything is so close. 
-Healthy and fresh food and drinks. Plenty of options. Wife’s vegan and loved every meal she had for the entire week. 
-The staff. From the owners to the bartender to the landscaping crew…everyone felt like family right away. No pressure, they listened, and were just fun to be around. 

We did the “Adventure Away” retreat and it was perfect. We saw whales, turtles, waterfalls. Did incredible hikes. Learned a lot about the land. Azuero Adventures were everything we hoped for and more. 

I would recommend this place to anyone, and I have high expectations and have been to a lot of places around the world. 

My wife called it her personal heaven.

One of the best vacations we’ve been on

I stayed at Sansara for two weeks as part of a Yoga Teacher Training and Retreat. This was the absolute best place for this experience. Directly on the black sand beach with such beautiful plant life across the property. The Sansara staff were EXECPTIONAL. After a long journey to Cambutal, we were greeted with colded towels smelling of lemon grass. The kitchen staff learned all of our names and became experts on everyone’s dietary restrictions. Housekeeping made sure our rooms were fresh and new everday. Such a beautiful experience and would love to go back one day soon.

Amazing Location and Amazing Staff

Beautiful eco-friendly resort with friendly staff and well maintained grounds. Rooms were like huts-so comfy with AC and nice beds, nice bath. Situated right on the ocean with gorgeous views. Our meals were delicious-gourmet quality and presentation.
