Our trip to Panama was done on short notice and we decided to skip the typical resort style vacation. Best decision ever..... these air conditioned cabins are just what we needed to make our trip a wonderful adventure. Where else can you step out of your cabin, walk 10 steps and get into a nice warm pool, while watching the wildlife all around you? Iguanas casually stroll by to climb the mango trees which have more fruit you’ll ever see in a supermarket. The Panama sun will tan your skin within a few hours, so make sure to pack sunscreen. Rain is rare and the days get hot. Alfredo, the cabin owner and host is always on the grounds to help you with any information you require. The fact that he speaks in English is also a blessing. These cabins are located 2 minutes walking distance from the ocean beach where seashells accumulate at low tide. From this point, you can head any direction and find many tourist attractions. Monkeys, snakes, butterflies, beaches and yes, even waterfalls. We had the time of our life and you will too. Thank you, Alfredo. We look forward to seeing you again, next year.

The rooms are very comfortable and cozy, very close to the beach. The pool and common areas are excellent. My score is due to the attitude of a few friends/business owners. I like the place but do not return; at least until there is a change of administration.

It's a great place to share with your partner or family, the owner's attention is personalized, the beach is just a 3-minute walk away, the cottages are fully equipped so you can enjoy the beauty of nature to the fullest, you can cook and also bake, it's a totally recommended place for those who like the beach, the sun, the arena, and diving in a rich pool... at last they'll feel like they're in their own home.

We have stayed at Cabanas Guicci Resort several times and have always found the owner, Alfredo, to be extremely helpful and friendly. He speaks fluent English and has always gone out of his way to ensure our visit is comfortable. There are six cabanas on the property, surrounding a swimming pool. Each cabana has a comfortable bedroom with air conditioning, a small, workable kitchen and a front porch complete with hammock and picnic style table. The entrance to the beach is right across the street from the cabanas. There are several large homes right on the beach in Playa Corona, but if you walk to the left or right, the beaches are deserted for miles. It is possible to take a bus from Panama City to Playa Corona, but I would suggest renting a car, as the closest markets are in nearby Coronado, about a 15 minute drive. Be sure to visit The Mercado in El Valle and the Seafood Market in Rio Hato for fresh fish, shrimp and lobster (in season). 

Comfortable accommodations close to a tranquil beach

We arrived there by chance, Alfredo the smiling owner offered us a nice price if we stayed long, we stayed 8 nights without regrets. In the same cabins, there is a bathroom with a mirror with disturbed reflections, a kitchenette, a room with a comfortable bed, air conditioning and ventilation. We had a whole family that was extremely noisy (large bedrooms, deep music, swimming pool food) but fortunately they only stayed one night and the owner was quite busy asking them to turn down the sound. The public beach is a few meters away is pretty and really big, it's a shame that it's full of garbage. Small waves for surfers, so from time to time it was quiet enough, but I didn't prefer it. We learned to overlook the b-side, and we learned to overlook the good choices in the supermarket.

A peaceful place away from tourists

We really enjoy the beach which is just a few steps from the cottage and the pool where the children can enjoy a pleasant, fun and safe time.We can bake meat and make hamburgers in the BBQ that they have lent and prepared for us to use.

Excellent family atmosphere!

I, my husband, our 22-year-old daughter and the youngest of 12, stayed in this corner of paradise on New Year's Eve 2014 and had the privilege of celebrating it as guests of the resort's managers, their families and their friends: unforgettable and unforgettable. In addition to the hospitality of don Alfredo, attentive and ready to meet any request, the accommodation in the cabin is simple but with everything necessary; plenty of hot water, ventilators and room conditioning, clean laundry, a TV with satellite channels and even a free cell phone available for every eventuality.

They are located on Corona Beach, he's been a couple of times, the cabins are a little small for the family but it's fine, good swimming pool and the beach is a little close, just need to correct the attention that depends on the humor of the owner!
