I spent the night here before going into Machupicchu. They were warm and friendly. There was loud deconstruction going on across the railroad track so they put me on the river side. I also had lunch there. Their English wasn’t great but better than my Spanish! Would highly recommend them.

Great service 

We got into Agua Calientes around 5pm and checked into Adela’s. It was super close to the train station and also super close to the bus station that takes you up to Machu Picchu. Which was really convenient with our big backpacks. Our room had a window that directly overlooked the river that runs through Agua Calientes and the mountain behind it, which was beautiful. We had tickets to Machu Picchu the next day at 6 am, so after we checked in we walked up to the hot springs which are about a ten minute walk along the river, Then grabbed some dinner before returning. In the morning complimentary breakfast was served starting at 5 am so we grabbed a bite to eat before we caught our bus up the mountain. They also gave us coffee to go and allowed us to store our bags there while we hiked Machu Picchu for the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. 

Perfect for a place to stay before or after Machu Picchu

We spent a night here, just before going to Machu Picchu. The bedroom and the bathroom are simple but clean, and that was enough for our purpose. The position is optimal, 1 min from the bus station that brings you up to Machu Picchu, and a couple of minutes from the center of Aguas Calientes. The hostel is on the railway, but it's not actually a problem since at night there aren't trains passing by. The owner is really friendly, and helped us to get the tickets for the bus, because we arrived late with the train and the box office was closing.
You can have breakfast early in the morning if you have the first scheduled entrance. 

We also tried their restaurant that is just below the Hostel and surprisingly it's really good and cheaper than the others that we have seen around Aguas. 

Good position and a friendly owner

We were there just over night because Machu Picchu but everything was fine. Nice room, clean, hot shower and wifi.
Hotel is very close to bus station to machu Picchu so it was also fantastic for our early morning trip. They gave us all information which we needed and also arrange us breakfast 05:00 in the morning before trip.
He had room opposite side of building so we didn´t heard train which is going through city and we heard instead of it river so slept well.

I cannot say anything against. We were there just over night and everything was perfect.

Trip to Machu Picchu

I arrived late by Train to Aquas Calientes and were bit lost after getting off the train. Fortunately, staffs from Adela’s Hostal was there and picked us (which we didn’t request). It’s very close to the station and the room was quite comfy with hot water. Owner is nice and helpful, the breakfast was fine and it’s also close to the bus station to Machu Picchu.

There’s also a restaurant in there which the food was delicious! We spent a afternoon there to wait for the train back to Ollantayambo. Nice experience.

Good rest in Machu Picchu

We stayed 3 nights in this hostel. I can’t say enough great things about our stay. The Hostel was clean and staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was included in our stay consisting of eggs, breakfast rolls, juice and coffee or tea. Our room overlooking the Vilcanota River. It is amazing when you open the windows you can hear the water rushing down the mountain. On the other side is where the train passes through. Such and incredible experience...I highly recommend to stay here. 

Amazing Hostel and Staff

Shady business practices. We booked this hotel based on good reviews for after doing the Salkantay Trek. After 6 days of trekking in the rain and living in a tent we just wanted a hot shower and the basic amenities we were lacking while trekking (i.e. bed, warmth, and a working toilet/sink). When we arrived the staff was very pleasant. We were a bit worried that the hotel is actually right on the train tracks but they nicely gave us a river side room and honestly the trains stop by sleeping hours. However when we finally paid and did hey to our room we found not only did he shower not work the whole hotel did not have water! We promptly spoke to the owner (in Spanglish) and he said the whole road was out of water for a few hours but that he would turn on the backup supply so we could shower assuring us the toilets and sink would work in a few hours. Needless to say he never once mentioned during our checkin process that there was even an issue and let us pay and find out for ourselves after the fact. Despite the assurance that the water would be on in a few hours it did not work again until noon the next day (No flushing toilet, working sink or hot shower for an the entire first day of our stay). We did not have one hot shower in the time we were there and when we asked for a small refund for the full price we paid the first night for a non-functioning bathroom the owner refused. Very shady business practice.  Additionally, the WiFi worked only intermittently and when it did it was slow. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. 

Shady business practices, no water, poor wifi

For us was booked in the President. A real bad and expensive place. No electricity no water no internet. No reduction in price. For the price you may expect an generator like other hotels had.
We eat several times at Adela's and learned that they have decent prices and the provided the amenities. Very friendly people. We traveled in januarry 2016

Affordable and good

Adelas is a very good place to stay in Aguas Calientes. It’s a little place of 8 rooms, and you can see the river from your window. It offers clean rooms, satelitte tv, room service, wifi, breakfast with te/coffee/bread/fruit/scrambled eggs. You can also have lunch and dinner, and the food is really good. Besides, they have a menu (20 soles) and an offer for tourists at 15 suns (hamburger+soda+fries). But the best is the service. Mr Tito, the manager, will do anything to make you feel comfortable. He’s gracious and helpful, although his english is not very good!
