My wife and I stayed one night in Casa de Luz for the purpose of visiting Machu Picchu.  It is a very clean and comfortable hotel, and a good value.  We would have enjoyed staying longer.  The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.  They have an elevator, which is not to be taken for granted in small-town Peruvian hotels.

An excellent choice when visiting Machu Picchu

This Hotel is a gem.  Fantastic location, right next to the Machu Picchu bus arrival and departure. Across the road from the market and in the middle of a host of good restaurants.  Only a short walk to the train station.  The hotel itself is not ostentatious, but very clean, roomy, great bathroom and really comfortable.  Great views over the market, spectacular river and mountain views. The manager Piero is extremely friendly and helpful and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Book it, you won’t regret it.

An absolute gem in Agua Caliente

Hidden gem. Staff were so friendly, they even gave us a takeaway brekkie at 5.30 in the morning. Bed was super comfy & warm . Best of all its right next to the Bus station .

They also allowed us to leave our bags while at MP for the day which was great. Would highly recommend , great value.

Friendly staff, comfy beds, next to bus station

This hotel was included with our 2 Day Inca Pkg chosen by our tour company.  Great location minutes from the Machu Picchu bus stop and 5 minute walk to the train station.  Rooms are basic and clean. Breakfast included with the stay was very good and staff were accommodating.  After checking out, we left items there while we toured Machu Picchu citadel and hiked Huayna Picchu.  Just picked up our items on our return before catching the train.
I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Aguas Calientes- Very good for our 1 night stay!

This is a very basic hotel however it is very clean with a comfortable bed and a very convenient location for the following morning's machu pichu visit. The breakfast was also way better than expected. They made fresh eggs to order, had freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh rolls. There was also cheese, cereal and yoghurt. 



Basic but clean with a good breakfast. 

Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, staff were polite and helpful. We had a room facing the street so it was a little noisy. Located close to train station and bus boarding area for Machu Picchu. Lots of small places to eat located nearby.

Aguas Calientes Hotel

Clean, and comfortable place to stay. It is on the road where the line forms for the bus to Machu Picchu so can be a bit noisy in the morning but also very convenient location.  Shower was hot, breakfast was the normal Peruvian boutique hotel breakfast. Overall I liked it here.

Great location for Machu Picchu visit.

Spent a night at this hotel before going to Machu Pitchu and it was fantastic! The service was phenomenal, the gentleman at reception gave us great tips on what to do  and about Machu Pitchu.
Perfect location to get the bus, right in front of the hotel!
Breakfast was good. Room simple with a comfy bed and shower was good too.
Highly recommend it 

Fantastic stay

A pleasant hotel very much in the centre of town. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was a more than reasonable size though the shower had little pressure. There was a modern lift. Breakfast was pretty poor, I was served cold coffee, A very small plate of scrambled eggs, and a bowl of fruit salad in which some of the components were rotten. Mind you they don’t start breakfast until 7 so this is irrelevant if you are making an early start.The staff were friendly, though sparse. A decent choice.

Clean, spacious and modern

I am very disappointed, They turn off the hot water for economy purpose, every time you want to take shower you need to complain so they might turn it on, in my case I took cold shower. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Chose another one.
