We stayed one night before starting our 3D hike in the Colca Canyon.
Without spoiling, I can say that their restaurant is super yummy 😋

The personal treats you like family, we felt so welcomed and safe as they also give you a briefing of the trek you are going to start. 🙏

We also did the tour to go see the Condors, where we also got lots of interesting information.

The rooms are simple, clean & warm. Bathroom was also super clean.

We had a hard time sleeping because of the altitude (don't forget to drink enough water!).

Awesome place to stay the night before a Colca Canyon trekking. The owner of this place is a knowledgable guide and briefs all tourists (for free) the night before they leave for their Colca Canyon trek. Hands out maps and tells you all details of every route.

The best place to stay before and after the Colca canyon trek. Very friendly hosts (speak fluent English) who give excellent advice for the trek and help you to organize everything. Nice and clean rooms and a great restaurant with very tasty pizza's. 

Best place for Colca canyon trek

The best place there is, if you ask me. No I didn't check the others out, but looking at everything we got, from the best beds and shower in Peru to the highest service all the way to the full canyon explanation and a map, I would 100% recommend going here. The pizzas are really good as well and the breakfast, well, if you make your own bread, you definitely know how to make a great breakfast.

Be amazed and find out for yourself!

Leandro welcomed us in our own language, we were pleasantly surprised. After dinner (great pizza!), he took the time to explain all the ins and outs of hiking through the colca canyon. As we got back after three days short on cash for the bus, he helped us out. Such an amazing experience!

Amazing host!

Our stay at Pachamama has been very pleasant. The beds were comfortable, and the hot shower was nice. Also, the freshly-baked pizzas were very tasteful. But most important, the people at Pachamama are so kind and make you feel at home immediately. They have some great recommendations for diverse hikes in the Colca Canyon, and they are more than willing to help if you have questions/issues. Loved our stay here & would definitely recommend it to others :)

Excellent service! Leandro(the owner) was very helpful organizing tours and transport. Beds are comfy and food is delicious. We recommend the Pasta Pesto and definitely try the homemade pizza in the wood oven. 
We saw condors and did the hot spring hike.  Leandro organized transport to Cusco.

Amazing place with the most lovely hosts! They showed us the way, arranged private transport to Cusco and gave us a tour to the condor lookout. Would definitely visit again and recommend to go here, if not only for the hosts :) also: the beds and pizza's are great!

Amazing hosts and lovely hostel

Great place to stay before and after a canyon trek, especially if doing a trek independently as you can get lots of information here. I would recommend doing an independent trek  s the tour guided treks can be very hectic. Pachamama has comfy beds, nice rooms and food also. There is a pizza oven. Showers have got water. They have WiFi also. You can leave your large bags with them whilst you do the trek.

Very enjoyable stay

We stayed for one night at Ludwig’s hostel before hiking to Lluhuar lodge in the Colca Canyon. Rooms are simple but good. Shower with hot water. We had an excellent breakfast at his mothers place, just two blocks away, because the hostel’s restaurant is currently under construction. Upon request sandwiches for lunch are provided to take on your hike. Ludwig helped us planning our hike in the Colca Canyon which was really great! He and his wife made their own map of the Canyon with helpful information. We felt good prepared for the quite challenging hike. We could leave our luggage at the hostel for the night. For the next day Ludwig arranged a taxi for us from Lluhuar lodge to Chivay. Make sure to take cash as there is no ATM in Cabanaconde or the Colca Canyon.
