Not far from center, but quiet. Located up the hill- so you've to be fit or take a cab.
Rooms are quite simple but o.k. Inner rooms lack privacy. 
Breakfast is average at the most.
Service is sometimes slow.

Nice people, few shortcomings

What I liked most was the cleanliness, the attention of the staff and the breakfast, all the facilities for check-in and check-out, good location, Cerca al mirador and the plaza, providing very good tourist attention.

We stayed for 4 nights, and the whole stay was very pleasant, the people at the service were very friendly and attentive to our needs, the breakfast service was very good with typical local products (tamales, humitas, etc.) and the delicious coffee.

Agradable 

At the Cumbe Inn we were well looked after and taken care of. The whole place is very nicely furnished and also very clean. The breakfast is good. There are eggs to choose from, bread and jam. Humito with cheese was also served. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent hostels

I traveled to the city of Cajamarca to develop a few class sessions for the Academy of Magistracy. I stayed from 3 to 6. The attention is very good, the breakfast included in the excellent stay and the Sunday Extraordinary, with chicharrón included. The comfortable room, the excellent atmosphere, it is a pity that I learned to graduate without a day for my return. I was directed to visit the tourist attractions near the city, and to mobilize by public transport. The attention was superior. While it is on the hill to Santa Apolonia, it is near the square of arms and the city is extremely safe. The prices they provided me through Booking were very good.

An agreeable environment.

Just 3 or 4 blocks from the Plaza de Armas, El Cumbe was a pleasant refuge and welcoming home during our four days in Cajamarca.  We enjoyed the breakfasts and received good guidance and assistance planning our excursions to Cumbe Mayo and the Inka Baths.

Good Location, Helpful Staff

My husband and I stayed for a couple of days at the hotel and we felt very well served: friendly staff (always attentive to what we needed, they offered us hot infusions - my inflatable coffee), rich breakfast choosers (pancitos y delicious coffee), clean rooms (although the room feels cold the phrases sheltered me very well and that's cool), close to the center (about 6 blocks away).

Calidez is the only one.

We stayed two nights at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and provided us with the room as early as 5:30 in the morning when we arrived. The breakfast was rich, fresh and you could choose from a variety of accessories. The room was appropriately furnished with all the necessary comforts. The only shortcoming was the warm water, which was available only after a long wait and only for a short time.

Cozy, calm, extremely friendly staff

We arrived at carnivals there was no room in hotels, we took a large room here ideal for my family, the family friendly treatment, the first day with some drawbacks for the wifi, but the following days were perfect.

The rooms are comfortable and warm.

Spent 5 days in this hotel along with 3 friends. Cold water unless you let the front desk know you wanted to take a shower and it was a hassle to wait til the water got hot (and never knowing for how long the hot water would last!). There was never any source of drinkable water in the place. The kitchen was locked after breakfast and a jar of water had to be specially requested if you were thirsty. Another hassle. On the last day the owner of the place treated us really badly. We came down for breakfast at 8:30 am, but we were acknowledged at 9:50 am. And there was just 3 table to serve. Still the lady owner wanted the check-out to be at 10 am! Outrageous. She didn't even greet us or anything that day. Apparently she got pissed off because one of us didn't eat meat and this seems to have personally offended her. Crazy.
