This was the best activity I have done in quite some time.  I absolutely loved the via ferrata climb and felt quite safe.  The food was pretty good considering how and where it was cooked.  Our guides were fantastic and so helpful.  My husband was quite sick during the night and they made sure he was well taken care of and that he got down safely.  I loved the view from the sleeping pods and enjoyed every minute of my stay.  I think this is one of the most interesting things I have ever done and I would do it again in a minute.

Truly bucket list experience

Incredible experience. I felt safe the whole time and the guides were helpful with navigating the climb. The views are amazing and the capsule are comfortable. The stars are also unreal! Capping it all off with a zipline down was perfect. Highly recommend for couples or even a group of four friends

Incredible Experience, Highly Recommend!

What an incredible experience?! Skylodge has been on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. The via ferrata was challenging, but we were able to complete the trek in 1.5 hours. The staff was supportive and phenomenal throughout the experience. Cesar and Alan were there to help coach everyone along the way. They would even help with the carabiners, as needed. Once you arrive at the dining pod, they prepare a delicious meal with healthy ingredients while climbers enjoy wine. Keko, the photographer, is great and was there every step of the way to get action shots and drone footage. It’s worth it to buy the package for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. This was worth every penny!

An incredible experience

This is truly an adventure. Be prepared bc it is higher up than it looks. The climb is not for the faint of heart . It is not all vertical and there is a 40-50 foot NARROW metal bridge that you must cross. If you fear heights think twice as the descent is via zip lines unless you decide.to hike which is an option but....

Sleep amongst the stars

The climb, stay and zip lining adventure were a highlight of our Peru trip.  I was mildly terrified of the climb but they made us feel safe and it was truly exhilarating.  I’d say the “moderate” fitness requirement is a fair assessment. It’s not for the faint of heart but it’s definitely manageable if you don’t mind heights.  The photography package is a MUST so you can leave your phone packed away and just enjoy the views. The dinner and breakfast were beyond expectations and our guides Diego and Ulysses made us feel right at home.  We would highly recommend it to all adventure seekers

Highlight of trip to Peru

We had this on our tour plan for our time in the Cusco/ MP region.  We didn't stay at Skylodge overnight.  Instead, we booked the climb-lunch-zipline through our tour operator.  In other words this was a "day activity" for us.

Frankly, this was an excellent day.  My partner felt that the climb was a bit "active" and mild terrifying, but would also say that it felt 100% safe the whole time.  The clip-in/ clip-out approach meant you were always connected to the wall and felt very secure. Our slowest climber went first and set the pace.  We also got breaks whenever we needed.    Overall, I'd say it was a moderate level of activity.  I also carried my camera bag which was probably 15# through the whole climb.  

At the top the lunch was amazing.  It tasted great (including our guide), we had chicken, fish, and alpaca (each had a different entree).  The funny part was that the chef was jacked like a body builder, cooking in this tiny capsule on a cliffside in climbing gear, and true to Peru, he STILL plated it like a champ!  Well done.

The zippiness down were fun too.  

overall, this was a great day.  I don't feel like I need to stay there, but the program we did is something I'd HIGHLY recommend.

What a great day - climb, eat, zip!  Yes!

My husband and I did the hike + lunch + zipline package. It ended up being just us. We also took the photography package. Will was our guide, Luis the photographer and Leo was the chef/guide. These guys are just amazing ! After the briefing, we started the climb.  Leo loaded a  25L bottle of water and some food and went ahead, so he can have the food prepared and ready by the time we get there. There was plenty of ferrata climbing during the hike and some of it was a little scary if you have fear of heights. My husband is scared of heights but Will made sure to make him feel comfortable. Will is also a funny guy and kept us in good humor ! There is one zipline to get to the lodge. The whole hike took us 1 hour 45 mins, with breaks. But when we got there, a freshly cooked lunch was waiting for us. The food (appetizer, main course and dessert ) is totally amazing- very fresh, flavorful and very filling. Everything was excellent and the view was amazing backdrop for the lunch. Leo - you are an awesome cook ! The zip-line down was fun - there were 6 lines. 

One has to give credit for the amount of work and effort it goes into this whole experience -  that everything has to be carried up and down and getting a freshly cooked meal etc. Do be sure to carry some cash to tip the guide/chef/photographer. We found the hike to be moderately hard but the experience was very rewarding. I would highly recommend it for anyone with a sense of adventure  and wanting a unique experience !

This is one of my favorite activities from our Peru trip. The staff was incredible, the views were unbelievable, and the food was so delicious.  It was such a great mix of adventure and being so well cared for.  We are really happy with the photography package as well. They were able to get drone shots that we could not have duplicated. Plus it was nice not to have to worry about trying to take pictures. We could just have fun.

Don't Miss this Event!

This was the greatest experience ever and to add it was my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. This is truly the most unique hotel we have ever visited. To add the total package/adventure we have ever had. This should be on everyone’s bucket list while visiting Peru. Thanks to the entire team for this amazing stay/adventure.

The Stay/Adventure of a lifetime.

Did the SkyLodge with my wife for our honeymoon. Our guides were fantastic and so fun! I’d recommend the harder SkyLodge and you must include the photographer! Food was amazing and your get wine too! Was a bit nervous at first but once you get moving it’s cake!
