I stayed for one night at hotel Pozo del Cielo in Chivay at part of an organised tour of Peru. It's a lovely character hotel with views to die for from room. It was very cold at night, no problem with that, but there was no hot water for a shower in the morning. Great breakfast

Lovely hotel in Chivay

A very nice hotel only 10 minutes walk from the town square. 
No noise during the nights. 
Nice comfortable beds. 
Heating blanket at the room for cold nights. 
I can recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

A nice hotel just 10 min from the town square

It was cold in the room and in the bathroom and there was no heating.The window and door were blown in by the humidity and they didn't close.The floor was cold.The small TV hanging from a fence could not be seen as it reflected the two windows on the ceiling.It's all old and the mattress is a disaster.I'm sorry about the girls in the dining room who are complacent and very hardworking but the hotel is cut.

Incommodation is a common problem.

This hotel was chosen by the organizers of a group trip. We slept there for one night. The hotel is well located and offers a beautiful view of the city. The architecture of the hotel is special. Our room looked a little bit like a suite, being quite large. Everything was clean. There was additional heating in the room. In the room, the WiFi was not very strong and often went off. We had 1 lunch and dinner. The food was very good.

Extreme, old rooms, with skylights on the ceilings that can't be closed which makes the light prevent you from sleeping, doors and windows that don't close well, a rare and sad breakfast, at last, nothing rescuable.

I don't like it.

The hotel itself, as well as the restaurant, are of good quality, with very good facilities, but the sound insulation between the rooms is really to be perfected.

A good hotel, but acoustic to improve

What a gorgeous quirky original hotel. Very authentic, comfy and clean we a beautiful view of the town across the bridge and of the stars at night. Staff are helpful but don’t speak a lot of English and I think they may still be recovering from covid, I.3 no beer at the bar and very confused when pouring a rum and coke or a glass of wine! That said, food was yummy, good portion size and good price. Overall a good hotel but don’t expect 5 star. There is Wi-Fi but it doesn’t really work.

Authentic gem

Spent one night here during my two-week Peru tour in October 2021. The location of the hotel is slightly out of sight, but the center can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. The staff is very polite, but speak (as so often in Peru) only Spanish. The room was clean and the bed had a heating pad. Breakfast was also fine. Here in particular is a great view of the mountains. Recommended for 1-2 nights.

Your accommodation with great views

The only bad thing is that it's not so close to the center of town. You have to walk a bit to get from the plaza to the hotel. It's not a great walk, but I'll tell you in detail.

Great place to stay in Chivay.

The hotel's location is perfect 10 minutes from downtown but away from the hustle, bustle, large rooms, spacious coach, however the attention was the best, Isabel the receptionist 10 points recommended!
