Our family of 5, with 2 adults and 3 children ages 12, 15 and 17 stayed here 3 nights in March of 2024. It was wonderful. We had a family room with 4 beds and one bathroom. The room was clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The host, Javier, is very kind. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, avocado, yogurt with toppings, and bread as well as eggs. We also ate our dinners here which were also excellent, including nightly fresh juice mixtures that our children loved. We didn’t venture into Lamay as we were tired from our activities. 
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Silence, nature , quality in every detail, either in the suoerb small cottages either in the garden, either in the food. The location is great. Next to Urubamba river where you can walk. Very near all the most beautifoul spots of the sacred valley. Love it!! Xavier and his staff are beautifoul humans!❤️

Loved this beautiful hotel in the middle of Peru's wonderful Sacred Valley, the immaculate rooms are set in wonderful gardens, and the breakfast and dinners were delicious. Also the hotel couldn't be more accommodating with help and info as we planned our onward journey. The hotel is also in a perfect location for discovering the incredible Inca ruins in the lovely market town of Pisac which is a short drive away and  a great stop off point on your journey to Machu Picchu .

Wonderful hotel in stunning grounds in the heart of the Sacred Valley

We found Nunu in the new Lonely Planet guide and the high rating was fully deserved. A rough track off the main road  leads to a walled oasis with 1/2 acre of beautiful gardens. Private,  detached  rooms/suites surround the garden looking over lawns and the hills behind. An absolute haven. This was built,  run,  and for us,  hosted by Xavier. All the details are spot on- the design and service coming from someone who totally gets what travellers want. The rooms and main dining/lounge area are stylish, creative and show great attention to detail. They are individually decorated with local antiques and textiles, plants and flowers abound -  an absolute pleasure to stay in. We ate simple, well made meals, had log fires and chatted to Xavier - it felt far more like being a house guest than being in a hotel - fabulous. 
Most of our trip (barring the Nunu bit) was arranged by UK based Audley travel who did a fine job with their local knowledge. They understandably avoid some of the badly regulated local activities so we had booked these ourselves. 
On the Nunu site recommendations we hiked & climbed through La Base Lamay and we rafted with Munaycha.  All the guides were highly professional, with new kit and lots of experience. All would  be up to UK standards - the absolute opposite of some the local cheap and cheerful operators.    
Overall, Nunu was the perfect base for us,  for a few days rest and safe adventures in the sacred valley. Can't recommend it highly enough - we would love to return.

Best hotel during our trip to Peru - wonderful oasis with great hospitality

My family stayed 3 nights at Nunu while we acclimatized to the altitude and toured sights near the Sacred Valley. When we entered through the gates we were transported to a tranquil hideaway in the beautiful Sacred Valley. Our rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and our host was welcoming and accommodating. We had planned to eat out in the area but ended up not wanting to leave the sanctuary and enjoyed delicious meals each evening. It was a wonderful visit! Thank you Javier!

What a wonderful place hidden away that opens up into
This beautiful hotel with private houses for the guests.  Morning coffee on the lawn was delightful with the mountains surrounding us.  We ate dinner on the property as well for our stay and really enjoyed the hospitality of michelle and Brenda and the staff

A hidden gem

This was an amazing stay in the most beautiful setting! This off the beaten path town Lamay In the sacred valley is drop dead gorgeous. This hotel is picturesque!! The family running it is welcoming, kind and amazing cooks! Nicolas, Alejandro, and Javier went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we are forever grateful!

Amazing Experience!!!

Lovely, seckuded, calm sanctuary in the middle of the sacred valley. 
Very nice staff and excellent food. 
Two nice dogs keep you company. The village around is pretty small, but there is lots of stuff to do in the area and the hosts gladly help you organizing something! Definitely worth the moey!

Cute, lovely bungalow Hotel

Nunu in Lamay is an espectacular family owned  boutique hotel.  
Each super comfortable bungalow has its own personality.

In the center of the garden  of Nunu there is a cozy fire pit where you  can see all the stars and the southern constellations so clearly that it's unbelievable.  

The surroundings are breathtaking but most of all, the warmth you get from the hosts since the very moment you arrive is what makes the stay the best.

Nunu Boutique Hotel is an exceptionally charming, family-owned, small, tucked away property in Lamay, where you’ll feel like you have your own personal home base in the Sacred Valley. With only six private casitas, and each one brightly decorated with a different profession in mind (“The Cobbler”, “The Seamstress”, and “The Explorer”, among others), you can close the doors of your space to enjoy some privacy, or bring a book out to the colorful couches in front of the dining hall to relax with the mountain views surrounding you. 

Nunu is perfect for families or small groups of friends as three of their six casitas also have a lofted level to make space for four adults total or a family. The other three casitas are fitted for single or double occupancy, and only one level. The six casitas, the dining hall, and the check-in house all line the outskirts of the property and leave way for different areas to relax, play, or wander in the center. The family who owns & operates Nunu was at the property while we were there, giving excellent service and bringing a rich merriment to our stay. 

Lamay is one of the towns in the Sacred Valley that is closer to Cusco, so if arriving to Cusco and heading directly down into the Sacred Valley straightaway, it makes short time of your drive. Nunu is also rather close to Pisac, as well, so you're well positioned for a day visiting the Pisac ruins and market. Nunu’s location being closer to Cusco does mean that it’s a bit of a drive (30-45 minutes) to some of the larger towns in the Valley, like Yucay and Urubamba, where there are more restaurants. If wanting to dine out at a restaurant like Huacatay or Tawa one evening, you’ll want to arrange for a cab or private transfer. It’s a little over an hour to the sites of Moray and Maras, if planning to visit those, and it’s also about an hour & 15-minute drive to Ollantaytambo, where you’d catch a train to Aguas Calientes, the town below Machu Picchu. If staying at Nunu before your Machu Picchu visit, make sure you plan ample drive time ahead of your train departure. 

At the time of our stay at Nunu Boutique Hotel, wifi was only available inside or on the couches just outside the dining hall, though that may have changed by now. Breakfast was included in our stay, and on our final morning when we woke very early before 5:30 a.m., Javier (one of the owners) was up already assembling some breakfast items for us to take with us when we left and stayed up chatting with us until our vehicle arrived. Neither lunch nor dinner were included in our stay, but we were able to eat at the hotel’s restaurant for additional cost. The restaurant prepared only a select number of items each meal, and you could choose from there what you wanted – all dishes were delicious! 

Another fantastic aspect of Nunu is its affordability – it’s rare to find such a wonderful place that is so budget-friendly. It was certainly one of the standouts on our trip, and my memories of the hotel are primarily of the overall welcomed feeling I had while there. And while it is very budget- and family-friendly, it’s important to note that there aren’t as many amenities as you might get at a larger or chain property, like a pool, spa, or separate bar area. However, its size and personal touches are really a big part of Nunu’s charm. 

Nunu Boutique Hotel is perfect for those who enjoy properties where you feel like a guest at your friend’s home, where you can have excellent service and delightful accommodations for a very reasonable cost, and where you can take in all the beautiful colors, scenery, and warmth that make Peru so special.
