I visited the Cusco region on my journey to Machu Picchu and I decided to go with Casa del Arco. The room was good,  especially for the price,  but the service of the staff was AMAZING! Although I originally paid to stay one night,  I was allowed to leave  my luggage securely at the inn. After returning from Macchu Picchu I decided to continue my stay.  One of the innkeepers also works for one of Cusco's five star hotels,  and gave me a personal tour of the former 1592 monastery turned hotel. I also was given a ride to run a couple of errands and to buy postcards and since the post office was closed on the Sunday before I departed, one of the staff members actually took them to the post office and mailed them for me. I truly felt warm and welcomed and would definitely stay here again.

The hosted was phenomenal!! Her bed and breakfast is quaint, maybe even sparse, but Claudia's warmth more than makes up for it. It gives you a feel for the real Peru and not a touristy feel. 

We had three rooms with our group. Two had Queen beds, one had doubles, each was small. The bathrooms were very small and the hot water was spotty if you tried to shower when everybody was. And, there is no heat, so it gets chilly at night. But there are plenty of warm blankets to snuggle under. 

Breakfast is a simple continental, but Claudia will make most anything you want for a very small extra. 

You enter through her juice bar which is off a very busy street. There is wifi in the juice bar area, but not in the rooms.

When we hiked Machu Picchu, she let us keep our bags there in a locked closet and gave us our same rooms when we returned. 

Claudia, if you read this, thank you for your wonderful hospitality- it made a great trip even better. 

What a great hostess. 

I have read wonderful reviews about this place prior to booking it, however for me personally this place was a disappointment. I travel a lot and close my eyes on things that are not perfect for my liking and I consider myself a very tolerant and easy-going traveler. 
I addressed all of the below mentioned issues with the hotel attendant and hopefully things will be improved in the near future.
Originally, I have booked a very budget accommodation with a shared bathroom. I traveled to Cusco in April 2018 which is a very start of the cold season. Night temperatures were 5C (41F) and were supposed to drop well below zero in the week after my stay. Hotel does not have heating, and no electrical heaters. So temperature inside of the room was about 15C (59F). There're big gaps under the door and window and it's an old building. Shared bathroom is quite horrible as it's a shower head sitting right above the toilet seat. Shared bathroom also has big gaps which made it quite an unpleasant cold showering experience. Shared bathroom had no hot water. 
After day 1 I moved to another room which was little more expensive and had a bathroom inside. I had problems getting hot water throughout my stay of 5 days. And the room had a little bit better insulation, but was still very cold. Basically throughout my stay I slept every day under 6 blankets being fully clothed (sweatpants, long sock, t-shirt and hoody).
Attendant who was working there was new - only 2 weeks and he said that I was the first person to complain. I wanted to move but had no time to look for other place, all my stay in Cusco I had long day trips and returned late at night.
This place is not a Bed & Breakfast. Apparently, the lady who worked there and cooked breakfast left and I was politely explained, that the stove is in the kitchen and I can cook my breakfast if I want to. 
One last small thing that was annoying - all the tour operators who were picking me up had difficulty finding the place, as there's no sign on the outside of the street. Also attendant who worked there had only certain hours, otherwise there's no reception. I had to sit on the bench in the yard outside of the room and wait for a buzz from the street notifying that my pick up came. 

Positive notes: The place is located 15 minutes away from Plaza del Armas, pretty much in the center of Cusco. Attendant was nice even though not too helpful. Rooms were clean and all the fixtures were working. Hotel had good wifi signal. 

Apparently place is rented out as Air BnB this time and not as an actual hotel.
