We stayed here for 2 nights. Room and bathroom was ok. May be that's how it is in hostel. This is the 1st time we stayed in hostel. To get a hot water in the bathroom, you have to have the water run for about 5 minutes.  Didn't like the breakfast, feels like cheese and crackers were wrapped up in the plate for 2 days. (It may be not for 2 days but didn't feel fresh). Best part was sound of river behind the hostel and it is 5 minute walking to train station. It is about 8 minutes by tuk-tuk to main center which is so beautiful to walk around in the evening.

'OK' hostel

This is a great little hostel, the rooms are clean and reasonably priced. A great perk is that the hostel is also considerably warmer than most we found in Cusco, we spent a great few days there and the staff are really helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hostel. The location is very convenient and it is a nice quiet place to stay.

Great hostel, warm rooms

This a very good option for those who don't need to be in the centre of all action. 10min walk from the plaza de armas, this small hostal is very good. We've stayed in a double room with private bathroom, windowless but, on the other hand, super cosy and not cold at all!!! Breakfast Included. Friendly and helpful owner, Pilar, was always super kind with us.

The most annoying thing was the water pressure or, the lack of it!!!! We've stayed on the ground floor and water pressure was almost none!!! That's the downside of the place. Check it out first!

Almost homestay. Very nice!

We stayed at Wayras for most of our time in Cusco. The room and bathroom are very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a huge issue with our agency for our trip to Machu Picchu and the staff at Wayras arranged everything for us. To be honest: without the staff at the hotel we probably would have missed the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu! The location is also perfect: close to Plaza de Almas and in a pretty quiet street. There is usually hot water provided (tip: go take a shower in the afternoon if you can!) but usually there is also hot water in the morning. We didn't take breakfast, so we can't say how that is. 
The value is just amazing: we paid 50 soles for a good room with bathroom and shower ensuite. I don't think there is anything like this in such a great location! 
All in all: we would definitely stay here again and cannot recommend this guesthouse enough! 

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and great value for money

We stayed at Wayras Guesthouse for 5 nights in total. It is a nice and comfortable small hostel in a more or less quiet street near from San Pedro market, the big central market of the city with plenty of cheap food. As it still counts as a little "far away" from the lively places near Plaza de Armas, it is quite cheap. Actually Plaza de Armas is only an 8-10 min walk away. 
We paid 40 soles for a double room with two beds, TV and breakfast included. The bathroom was shared. The woman in charge of the hostel is friendly and helpful, but the only really negative point was the breakfast: We had bread, butter, marmelade and tea. That was fine, but the quantity of marmelade she gave us was more than ridiculous! It was a small flat saucer with a little bit of marmelade on it for 4 breads in total! How is it possible to eat 4 breads with such a poor portion of marmelade?? When we asked her for a bit more, she lied to our faces claiming she had not more, but we saw the big plastic bag of cheap marmelade right on top of the fridge... Really poor lying.
As for the shower: Yes, it is warm, but not hot. On top of that, there is an always open window right next to the shower, so there is coming very very cold air inside the shower all the time. That is why it is not that comfi under the shower...rather half warm - half freezing, depending which parts of your body are under the water.
At least the rooms and the bathroom were clean. It is better to not take a room with window to the main street as the cold gets in and it's freezing cold in the room. Also the street noise is very strong in the morning.
All in all, it was a quiet and nice stay at Wayras. You won't cross too many people, so if you are looking for a modern youth hostel with plenty of young party people and a fancy common room to hang out together, don't go to Wayras. It is more to have a good rest in between Machu Picchu and stuff.
