What a great find! I truly felt like I was brilliant for booking this place! The location is amazing, in a quiet area but less than 5 minute walk to the square where all the restaurants are. The apartment is equipped with everything we needed including a juicer to make fresh-squeezed orange juice every morning!
Every afternoon they brought us fruit, eggs, bread, jam, butter, cheese, yogurt and more, so that we could make our breakfast the next day, whenever we wanted to. It was so nice a relaxing vs getting dressed and going to a dining room.
This was by far our favourite place we stayed in the 3 weeks we were in Peru. You must stay here!!

The property was beautiful. It is located on a one way street and drop off right in front may not be possible as the street can be busy. It is walking distance to many restaurants, cafe, shops and Plaza de Armas. The staff was so helpful and we just loved the unit we had. There was a group of 7 of us and we rented 2 units.

Beautiful property

Our family, 2 adults 3 kids, stayed in Casona la Recoleta apartment in April 2022 for a week. This was ideal for us as the 3 teenagers had their own beds in loft and my wife and I had the downstairs bedroom.  The place had a lot of character, small kitchen, hot shower, good beds and a living area.  each day we received fruit and basic breakfast. each night a gentleman came to light our fire - nice touch. 

What was best was the location in Cusco - we were 5 or 10 minutes walk from Plaza de Armas - as we were so close to everything.

The people in the hotel were very nice and professional at front desk. The place was cleaned each day and they did a nice job. 

I would recommend any friends of ours visiting Cusco to stay in this hotel.

great place for family in Cusco

My husband and I stayed at Casona La Recoleta in Cusco for a week.  We had a great experience and would whole-heartedly recommend it to other travellers.  

We stayed in a loft which was very spacious, had a fireplace, cooking facilities, very comfortable beds.

The guesthouse cleaned the rooms/bathrooms every day.  And breakfast foods and fruits were provided so we could have/make breakfasts in the rooms in the morning.

There is a small beautiful garden out in the back and the guesthouse is set in a lovely area.    Location is a few short minutes talk to Plaza de Armas.

Best of all was the fantastically helpful Nuria, who was very kind and warm and helped us with our various requests.

Highly recommended!   We would unhesitatingly return.

A true gem in central Cusco.  Very spacious, super clean, fantastic value-for-money and brilliant staff!

I loved this hotel!  Nuria, the front desk attendant is so friendly and accommodating!  The hotel is beautiful and located right in old town, very walkable to the city center.  I want to come back to Cusco just to stay at this hotel.  

Great Hotel!

The stay in this place was the best before our start on the Inca trail of 4 days, the attention and the rooms very comfortable, if you are thinking of traveling to Cusco the best recommendation is that you can book with this hotel.

Very cozy place

We stayed at Casona La Recoleta for 4 nights before our Inca Jungle trek and then for a night afterwards. This worked really well as our luggage could be stored at the hotel - we simply left our packed bags in the room when we left and they were back there on our return.

This Apartment hotel is a great option for families as there is plenty of room - a loft room with 2 single beds for the children, a separate master bedroom and living/ kitchen area. There was a fireplace which we used each evening as it was chilly in August at night in Cusco and good quality bedding/ towels and powerful, hot shower. Breakfast was left the night before - bread, eggs, ham , cheese, yoghurt and plentiful fruit. It did become a little monotonous by the 4th night but did allow us flexibility to eat when we wanted. The location of the Apartment hotel is a mere10 minute walk to Plaza de Armas and close to San Blas and also has a lovely bakery and several restaurants on the street itself. There were lovely views over Cusco from our apartment and a beautiful communal garden below and very friendly owner and staff. The receptionist spoke English and while the gentleman on duty overnight didn't we found him very warm and friendly.

Casona de Recoleta is on a narrow road making drop off and pick up a little tricky and also meant our apartment which was directly on the road was noisy. We could hear some traffic noise over night and I would recommend requesting a room away from the street or bringing ear plugs. The children in the mezzanine area could also hear conversations from the next apartment. However this was a good value option while staying in Cusco and even with these things in mind I would definitely recommend families in particular looking at it.

Great for families/ excellent location

Casona La Recolata is fantastic, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you are considering staying here, you absolutely should! I can't imagine a better place to stay in Cusco.

Nuria, the manager, lives on site and is very friendly and helpful with tips about the area; the rest of the staff are great too. The garden area is lovely, with beautiful fragrant flowers and a table where you can have coca tea or a snack if you like. The apartments themselves are very comfortable, and breakfast foods are provided daily for you to make at your leisure. We found the location to be very nice as well, close to both the Plaza de Armas and San Blas area, which has many great restaurants and shops. 

This is a gem of a hotel and we will recommend it to any family or friends traveling to Cusco!

Wonderful place to stay in Cusco

We stayed at the Recoleta pre and post-Inca Trail. From check-in to check-out the owner made sure our stay was perfect. The location of the Recoleta was great - walking distance to everything you'd like to see in Cusco. She gave us great restaurant recommendations which we loved. Every evening, the staff delivered fresh groceries for our breakfast the following morning, and made sure we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The fireplace was a bonus that we enjoyed one brisk evening, and the apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious. Our luggage was safely stored and waiting for us when we returned from the Inca Trail. This place is a little gem that we'd gladly return to!

Perfect Apartment in Cusco

Our family of four stayed for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment was snug, not fancy but very comfortable; two bedrooms (with heaters), two bathrooms, a kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave. Everything worked well and it was very quiet. The front desk people were lovely, a special thanks to Augustine. Every afternoon they come and leave a lot of breakfast stuff for the next day, including fruit, cereal, milk, bread, eggs, ham, cheese. The location is great, it is about a 7 minute walk to the main plaza, most restaurants are also within a 5-10 minute walk, and there is a small convenience store and a drug store within a 2 minutes walk. They arranged for our airport transfer and that also went smoothly. Strongly recommended if you are a family looking for a place in Cusco.
