I highly recommend Camu Camu as they were a life saver for me the day I arrived into Iquitos (which I loved very much) however my arrival into Iquitos did not get off on the right foot after a series of unfortunate events, you know how goes at times, however with the help of a very kind and friend Francisco, a Moto Taxi driver and guide with Alternativas Turisticas De Loreto, who assisted me greatly and led me to Camu Camu which I am highly greatful for, as they gave me a very warm welcome and assurance, I immediately felt safe and very comfortable there. The young man at the desk was so very kind and helpful, he was very reassuring and took time in assisting me in any questions and getting settled. I was so very greatful and thankful to the young man at the desk and to Francisco. Overall I felt very safe and felt reassured, I was able to do what I needed to do without any worries.

The room itself was very accommodating, it was spacious, had AC, a TV, and a fridge, I was very comfortable! They are located right by the town Center, Plaza de Armes, and I was even able to walk to the Mercado de Belén, and to the Amazon River. I could of walked also to the Maniti Museum but it was closed. Definitely a couple of reasons to return!!! And I will definitely be staying at the Camu Camu again, as their friendliness and service and helpfulness was beyond my expectations and high class! I also want to thank my Guardian Angel Francisco for all his help and leading me to the Camu Camu! There are still many great people in this world and day and age!

Camu Camu A place of Relaxation, Refuge and Assurance!

Please note: A dirty desk with used condoms Ducha no works Remote Control inactive, no batteries No towels The middle of the day to solve the problem, I was switched to room and it was worse, no use the room, since I just leave my stuff and go out to lunch, the worst was that when I wanted to get more than half of what I paid, when I never used their filthy bathroom.

No recommendation is my worst enemy.

Frankly, I feel like it's not the way they paint it here, the 1 out of 10 wouldn't put it in 5, the beds are sunken, the room itself is ugly, and the other environments aren't attractive at all, and they charged me 120 a night that I wouldn't really pay again.

The hotel is pleasant and the location is strategic for business purposes, as it is in the very center of Iquitos.The attention is good.If you need a meeting room, the hotel provides it without major impediments.

Buen hotel 

It's really very energizing to talk about a city where the heat prevails not only in the climate but also in its inhabitants, where you actually lose the sense of time and seek to know if that heat is coming from the Amazon River near the city or why it is in everyone's DNA, and indicate how in a city that grows day by day it has to continue to get to know each other more and more, the plaza of arms has what a city likes....hotels, restaurants and recreational areas, trying to get to know iquitos is for a minimum of 5 days, its gastronomy, its unforgettable drinks, its heart in the middle of the jungle makes you imagine the countless areas you will never forget to know because you will want to visit again.

Simple hotel, complete, affordable breakfast, close to the main square, clean and above all excellent care. With wifi and ideal for families, backpackers and tourists. Very friendly the ladies of the reception.

Good price and location.

Stayed here for 1 night after doing a maniti jungle excursion before my flight out. Everything was clean and safe, rooms were nice and staff was helpful. It was close to the city center which was great to be able to grab dinner and do laundry after being in the jungle! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through 

Great place

I dont do reviews often because I am a bad digital traveler and my grammar is horrendous but I don't have enough good things to say about this place, especially as a backpacker. Met with fresh juice,  clean rooms, AC!, and TVs in the rooms when we entered.(If youre used to backpacking than you know how luxury that is). 

Now, the real reason I choose to write about this place is the kindness they showed my girlfriend and I after we checked out. They allowed us to leave our luggage behind the front desk all day letting us inconvience them as the vagabonds we are, which right off the bat means a lot to me. 

Not only that, as we were preparing to take a cargo boat to Leticia Colombia they were so kind as we rudely went in and out of the hotel collecting supplies and using their Internet which they allowed for free. The front desk persons usually a man named Jamie or a woman named Jessica helped us with directions and advice for our upcoming boat and also sold me copious beers from their cooler at a reasonable price. (I just add that because I love beer and it was very hot that day). 

There are a lot of other things I'd like to add but it would just go on and on. The last note I'll make is their well placed location next to Plaza de Armas and several great restaurants and bars. Thank you guys for reading and I hope you choose to stay there! 



Camu Camu- Couldn't be more hospitable 

An excellent place, perfectly situated close to Plaza de Armas, and the perfect start point for daily excursions. A friendly staff always prepared to help out. They also had pick-up service at and to the airport. I hope that all hotels had this service.

The Correct Chooise

If you don't want to pay $250 a night for the best hotel in town, this is a good alternative.  It is located just a block from the Parque de Armas and is reasonable priced.  It is not luxurious by any means but it is a decent place to sleep.  The breakfast that comes with the room is two pieces of toast with butter and jam and tea or coffee or juice, not worth the trouble unless you are anorexic.
