This was a nice hostel in Miraflores. It is very quiet and the people running the lodge is extremely nice and accommodating. 

One of the owners offered to take us on a tour of the region for free and act as a guide. 

The breakfast that was provided was amazing and the rooms were appropriate, clean and quiet.

The front door is a little hard to find though.

Stop over in Lima 

-To be fair the dorm we were in was really spacious and the bed comfortable. I could rest properly after a long traveling journey.

However:

- The hostel is not indicated from the street, so hard to find.

- First thing we found when we got in the room was a full and clogged toilet.. (it stayed like this for the whole day you can imagine the smell), kitchen was dirty, things sticky and nothing to dry hands.

- Reception desk is always empty... You can wait for long minutes outside at the door, ringing the bell, waiting for someone to open the door for you.

- There is nobody to whom you can ask for information about activities, places to visit, transportation.

- The only staff you can find are the volunteers.. 

- There is no nice commune area to sit and relax. 

- WiFi is bad 

You should avoid

We stayed at the Chaski Lodge for 3 nights. The bed was comfortable but very creaky and loud, even when you sat on it. The bed was comfortable and warm though. The bathroom was quite dark and the concrete made it feel less like a hostel or hotel bathroom, but they were perfectly clean, in perfect working condition and had more than enough room. The breakfast provided was tasty and with a lot of variety. The girl who looked after us at reception was very chatty and helpful, and provided lots of good advice, and assistance. They provide a laundry service, and the laundry was done by the end of the day. The location is very close to the main streets of Miraflores and a few very good restaurants. If you don't need anything too fancy, and want a good location, this place is perfect! It's nothing ostentatious but it is comfortable, affordable and close to everything you need.

Great location in Miraflores

Chalk lodge has it all!  Perfect location in MiraFlores. Kevin and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Can easily walk to to Kennedy Park, Inca Markets, the mall and several shops and restaurants.  The lodge has abundant lodging--2 large rooms with bathrooms, and 3 private rooms with baths.  Breakfast was amazing every morning, nice area to relax and meet with other guests plus a bonus terrace rooftop--perfect for a relaxing time with a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage--morning or night. 

Great location in MiraFlores

Great hostel in Lima with super delicious breakfast, clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, rooftop and really nice staff! I can highly recommend this hostel!!!! The place of the hostel is perfect as well. The staff is trusty, helpful!!! You can walk in 10 minutes to the sea.
