The room is big, with private toilet, everything is very clean. The staff is super, very nice! They cooked us breakfast (for a cheap price) and helped us with the taxi to the airport, so the driver couldn’t charge us more than what was suppose to (15 solis). We stayed two nights, one with breakfast and we payed 104 solis (aprox. 25€). We highly recommend casa machi!!

Super clean, nice family, perfect price!

I did not actually stay at Casa Machi due to a canceled flight, but the owner, Walter Garay, was extremely accommodating about the change in plan. I would definitely book with him again and look forward to staying at Casa Machi when I return to Peru.

Extremely accommodating owner

The only issue I would have is location. I was on an overnight stay whilst travelling through the airport & this place is 20-40 mins away depending on traffic. It's also as far as I could tell not particularly close to the centre or tourist attractions. That said there is a bus service that passes close by heading into town and a few minutes walk brings you to lots of cheap eats. 
 The big plus is Walter. Here is someone who clearly enjoys his job and wants his guests to be happy. Anything he can do he will, nothing is too much. He greeted me at 11pm and was there again when I left at 6.30. The room was simple but very clean & perfect for a bed for a night. Very quiet as wellGreat value too. Overall I'd recommend Casa Machi to anyone.

Excellent owner, great value, just a little out of the way

My flight to Lima arrived at 11:15 pm. I took a morning bus the next morning to Huaraz in Northern Peru. Casa Machi was a great place to stay for the night. Walter arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the airport at 11:30 pm, and it was probably about a 15 minute drive to the B&B. The next morning it was about a 10 minute taxi ride to Terminal Norte and Walter helped with that as well. 

Casa Machi itself was clean, well appointed, and I had a spacious and quiet room with a good bed. Breakfast was excellent and Walter and his mother were friendly and helpful. 

I would definitely stay here again for a quick night's sleep between a flight to Lima and travel to Northern Peru.

By the way, I would not stay at Casa Machi if I was staying in Lima for a few days and wanted to see the major attractions. But for my needs on this trip it was convenient and comfortable.

Great to place to stay for quick stop over between airport and Terminal Norte bus station

With only an overnight stay in Lima, I looked for a place relatively close to the airport and the historic city center. Casa Machi fit the bill.  The owner, Walter, is kind beyond words and his suggestions are outstanding.  I had an 8 hour window to visit the city center.  He recommended taking the bus rather than hiring a taxi to save both time and money.  Because of traffic congestion, he was absolutely right.  The bus has its own dedicated lane.  He even accompanied my travel partner and me to the bus station to make sure we made the right connection.

Now for the room itself, which was spacious and clean.  Artistic drawings adorned the walls. We had a private bathroom with sufficient hot water. and enough outlets to plug in our small electronic devices.  His home made breakfast included freshly squeezed juice and excellent fried eggs.

Walter helped arrange for taxis to take us to and from the airport.

Be aware of one minor thing.  As an American, I am used to paying for lodging with my credit card.  Walter, like most small b & b hosts throughout Peru, requested that we pay in cash.  The good news was that he accepted either U.S. dollars or Peruvian Soles.
