This is a good choice in Olly, a step above a standard European tourist hotel (3 star) with some nice rooms and a good location. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness is outstanding. Get a room in the river side for nice view of the ruins and a quiet nights sleep. Easy walking to anywhere in Olly as it's a small town. It's a bit of a walk uphill from the train station but not bad if you are in shape or you can get a cab for a few soles.

I traveled to Ollantaytambo and I was lucky enough to stay at this beautiful and welcoming hotel. this hotel is extreamily nice and has more then one bed in most rooms. Hotel Sol del Inca has stunning views right as you walk out the door and through the windows. The family that lives there makes great breakfast with delicious fresh fruit. The family accepts you as if you were apart of there own. This hotel is close to everything in the town. Though there may be a small language barrier you still feel at home.

Go to Peru Ollantaytambo at hotel sol del inca you will love it!

Bottom line: We arrived to find that the hotel did not have a room for us.  They were overbooked.  The hotel had booked a room for us at another hotel (owned by the same company).  Staff was very attentive and apologetic.

Overbooked!

The value for your money is very high at this hotel.  Spacious rooms in a convenient location, with lots of hot water and some rooms right on the little river over looking the ruins (very cool).
A couple of issues were that we had to ask for a space heater and the breakfast buffet was lacking and not ready in time for us to catch the train.
I would definitely stay here again.

Great little place in Ollantaytambo

Opening the balcony doors at the Hotel Sol and seeing the magnificent Inca terraces rising on the hillside was wonderful, and the brook rushing past the abundant bougainvillaea below added to the delight. Our room was spacious and simple, a comfortable bed and room for us to repack luggage for the Inca Trail trek. The bathroom was huge, with a generous and warm shower and large mirror. The space and ambiance were luxurious without being grand. The only drawback was a rather mediocre buffet breakfast (though the pancakes were fortifying). 

The staff were courteous and helpful and the resident cat was also very welcoming! It was great to see a book exchange too, a throwback to the pre-kindle days when a holiday read was left for others to enjoy (and new titles were there to discover). 

Definitely recommended!
