We booked and paid a deposit for this hostel. When we arrived we found out that they had closed down. Just down the road was a Hostel with a very similar name and they were great and saved the day. There are plenty of other Hostels nearby.

No longer there

Katy was an amazing host while we were in Ollantaytambo. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable, and waking up each morning to a beautiful view of the Sacred Valley enjoying a cup of coffee was awe-inspiring. Katy was the most helpful, friendly and compassionate host we've ever had on our travels. The amount of things she helped us with is almost too many to name, but she deserves to be recognized for all she did for us. She arranged to have a private taxi pick us up from the airport in Cusco to drive us straight to her wonderful hostel in Ollantaytambo. She helped us book our tickets to Machu Picchu by taking us into the neighboring town of Urubamba where we could purchase the pass. We all climbed into the taxi, and when we arrived she became very passionate because our driver tried to charge us "gringo" prices, for which she gave him quite a tongue lashing. She also took us to authentic Peruvian cuisine twice. At one point I mentioned my favorite dish was papa rellena, so she took us to the local market to pick up the materials to teach us how to make it. She taught us how to make pisco sours as well since she is an amazing bartender and used to work in Cusco. Katy is also very accomplished at knitting scarves which she has for sale at the hostel. They were very high quality and not once did she push us into buying them. She didn't even mention them until the last day when she was making Pisco sours for us in the little cafe downstairs and they were on display behind her and we asked about them. She even taught us how to tell the authentic high quality versions from the knock offs. On the last day we said our goodbyes, and told her we were on our way back to Cusco to catch a flight to Lima. We had expressed earlier that we wished we had more time to visit some of the other historical sights like the Salinas de Maras, Moray, Sacsayhuamán and Pisac. So she arranged a private taxi to take us to all of those places on our way to Cusco, fulfilling our wish list and making for an unexpected and amazing journey back. Side note, she had a sweet litter of puppies while we were there so we got to hold and play with them between adventures!! Wonderful!

Amazing Hostel and Katy!!!

We stayed here on our way to Machu Picchu instead of staying in aguas calientes. It was a lot more quiet than aguas, and our hostel experience was amazing. KATY our host was so sweet and personable, her and her boyfriend even made us dinner one night- pizza that was amazing. I love cats so the cats were an added bonus for me. The common room was really comfortable and they had a record playing along with games. The hostal itself was clean, and the view was beautiful. I would 100% recommend this hostel to a friend. It’s also great walking distance to anything you would need to do in the city including the train station! 

Loved it

I love this hostel so much. The owner Katy(Ka-T) is kind, thoughtful, and helpful. She takes such care in creating a beautiful place to stay in. The common areas are exceptional. There are a couple animals there that I came to love, Winny the dog, and the cutest new born kitten, gatito. It is just a few minutes walk form the main square which is a blessing for reduced noise.

I love this place!

What a great relaxing time, host are wonderful. The scenery was great. Mountains all around you. Air b&b can take care of everything for you. There are many areas to visit like North Benwa. This is where they filmed Twin Peaks. You run to Rosalyn, this where they filled Northen Exposure. Both are with in 30 minuets in with directions from the B&B, if you go in the winter then you are in a winter wonderland, Ski resorts all over. We will be returning soon. Nothing like good rest and great people to be around.

This was one of the cheapest places I could find in the beautifully small and expensive Ollantaytambo, which during December offseason was 25 soles per night. I was put in a spacious 8 bed dorm all to myself!

Kathy is a very pleasant and talkative hostel owner, also owner of 6 tiny and extremely friendly dogs and 2 cats. Unfortunately, she is a bit protective of her kitchen, due to some guests she thought abused it.

Wifi was reliable. Hot water was a bit unreliable. Breakfast is simply bread with butter and tea. Location is a bit out of the centre, which for Olla is nothing anyway, less than 10 mins walking.

Overall I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here.
