We have stayed at the Albegue Turistico Bottger several times. We choose to stay there because it is a charming and comfortable place to stay with a wonderful breakfast. Sra. Doris (owner) is a lovely lady, whose priority is for her guests to have a great time at her place. Highly recommended!

Incredibly comfortable place to stay

Our room was very clean, spacious and had pretty details like fancy sheets and towels.
We had a mini fridge, tv and a lovely balcony, and hot water. The owners made us feel so welcome and comfortable, it was like staying with your very best Aunt and Uncle.  The whole place was spotless and charming.  The breakfast was amazing.  Doris is a very charming hostess and will fill you in on all the local restaurants and tourist information.
She even accomodated us with a very early self serve breakfast one day as we headed out on an excursion.  The rooms are nicely soundproofed and we all slept very soundly in this amazing family run hotel.  Thank you Doris and family and staff.  It was a pleasure to stay with you.  This is a safe and tranquil place to relax and recharge and also to enjoy the wonderful town of Oxapampa.  This hotel is safe for singles, familes and couples, they also cater to groups with some rooms sharing a large living room and kitchen and some rooms private for couples.  They also have some private family rooms which are large and contain several beds and have plenty of space.  Overall, this was a delightful, clean place to stay with quite reasonable rates. Wonderful, Comfortable and Safe Family Run Hotel

This place is a charming albergue with a good location and the perfect mix of lowing cows and shrilling roosters to wake up "country style".  We stayed in a peaked room on the second floor which was quiet and comfortable.  Doris makes sure that lots of details add to the charm, from lace-trimmed towels to the outstanding breakfast that features creative takes on standard dishes and local, organic produce. I also particularly liked that the rooms all adjoin a common living room with couches and a TV...much easier to get my vacationing 9-year old to sleep without that distraction in the room!

Albergue Turistico Bottger is a family business and home to their owners, a place you will notice is treated with love and care. A classic that keeps improving and yes, it has that special atmosphere where you feel warmly welcomed and at home. 

I would say that the experience of visiting Oxapampa gets completed by staying at  Albergue Turistico Bottger.  IN the morning, you will start energized by a healthy and traditional Oxapampa´s breakfast served every morning, guests usually share the table at the dining room, or if you prefer, you may have a table at the terrace. Rooms are spacious and comfy, with cable TV and nice bathrooms, I always get a good night's sleep, and I come pretty often because of my job.

The Albergue is located a few blocks from main square (Plaza de Armas), close to stores, restaurants and ATMs, make sure you take a walk, Oxapampa is a very cosmopolitan town, you will see and meet interesting people from various parts of the world, I love seating at a café and just watch...

Great place to stay in Oxapampa.

We were a party of five tired birders who very much appreciated the cozy lodging here, after an exhausting day of birding that had followed an all-night bus ride. My room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was superb, probably the best "Fruehstueck" that I had during a one-month trip to Peru. Much of it was home-made by our charming hostess. There were preserves made from special types of local berries. I must add two minor items of criticism. The wooden stairs leading to the room are beautiful, but they are steep. I suspect they'd be dangerously slippery when wet. Also, both I and two of my birding friends noticed that the bathtubs in our separate rooms required considerable agility in getting in and out.
