A beautiful property set in a stunning location with mountain back drop.
Alpaca guiding the property which is a novelty.
The hotel itself is a bit cool at night as there seems limited heating but the bedrooms are heated after 1700.

Location location

Absolutely beautiful location and hotel. The food was amazing, the rooms were amazing, I wish I could have stayed here longer. Beware of the feisty Llama, though.  He likes to let himself in to parts of the hotel and get stuck but not want help getting out. 

Relaxing, beautiful 

I was here as part of a tour and this is a very cozy, quant hotel. Beautiful views and good food. A little chilly at night but the hotel provides heaters and extra blankets! A good stop in Peru even for just a night.

Quaint

What a wonderful short stay! We only stayed 1 night at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are basic, rustic but comfortable. Heating was provided in the evening and through the night. The decor was colourful and the staff were welcoming. There is a resident alpaca Bianco who wanders around freely. 

The views from the bottom bedrooms and the garden are world class. Sun set watching the volcano spewing steam in the distance will not be forgotten. 

Lunch and dinner were buffet style, good quality and plentiful. The hotel will also lend you towels to go to the hot springs. 

A little tip - toiletries are not provided as in other hotels, take your own. Wish we could have stayed longer. 

Those views! 

We stayed here one night during our tour to Colca Canyon. The remote location is made up for by the stunning views -absolutely amazing! Really nice indoor common room and outdoor area. And they have the cutest little alpaca walking around the hotel! Rooms were clean and had what you needed, but really cold unfortunately. Because of the remote area we had all meals at the hotel. Lunch and dinner menu was amazing. The breakfast however was limited. Another downside is that wifi only works in the common areas. All in all it was a really good experience, and I will recommend staying here when in Colca Canyon.

The coziest hotel in Peru

La Casa de Mamayacchi is in a lovely idyllic location with lovely rustic rooms and decor.  The eating area is also lovely but during early October when I stayed there were very few guests staying so the eating area was very quiet.  The gardens and views are really stunning and there's a nice 30-40min walk to a view point to see the distant mountains and Inca terraces on a clear day.  Breakfast is basic with bread, cereal, jam, and drinks.  I stayed here as part of a Colca Canyon two day tour with it only our small group staying at the time.  Dinner was nice although you did need to pre-order your food a couple of hours before sitting down to eat.  There is heating in the room which was good and a freindly pet Alpaca wandering the garden.

Fantastic Location

Friendly helpful staff.
Quaint rooms- basically furnished, but clean and tidy. Maintenance man comes round and turns your heater on at dusk, and its very cosy.
Buffet dinner/breakast had a good choice.
Would recommend and stay again if in area.
ps little "shop" across from guesthouse sells water/juice and great souvenirs made by the lady and her husband

Loved it !

We stayed at this place while on a tour of the Colca Canyon and were very happy with it! To begin with, the beds had heated blankets and the rooms had heaters... a rarity in this part of the world. The rooms were good-sized and were clean and comfortable.  The breakfast buffet was large and tasty. The staff was very attentive. Add to this that there was a planetarium on the property, and for a fee we were admitted into it to look through the telescope at stars and planets, and we were taught things about the universe. We would definitely stay here again!

Unique!

We only stayed here one night on a tour but a had a good time.  The rooms were nice and pleasant, the best shower I'd had in a month in Peru.   The location is great and the food was good (perhaps a bit overpriced though).  Our only complaint was the total lack of wifi in the rooms... have to hang out in the lobby if you want to connect.

Very cute place, nice location

The rooms were spacious, neat and clean. Service is very good and staff is very considerate. Dinner is served as a buffet and plenty of choice is available, even taking vegetarians and people with allergies into account. But best of all: there are a couple of (baby) alpacas living on the premises, who are pettible and extremely cute! They might try to enter the hotel lobby so keep an eye on them ;)
Overall a great hotel!
