We were expectant to be lodged in a beach hut according to the OLD pictures.
It returned out that there was a renovation  work going. The huts were gone. Instead were barrack-like accomodations.  The barracks seemed modern but the room had a terrible aircon with very high sound which is impossible to adjust.
Shower has very little water.There were no cabinets for clothes, no hangers and no possibility of buying food. We were told to go to the neighboring resort which is just as terrible.
There was a makeshift restaurant that only serve breakfast - 4 halves of toast, one sunnyside egg and 2 small pieces of bacon with powder Nescafe and powder cream to the cup og hot water. 
The very first morning, the manager has to tell the woman serving us to go out and buy bread, bacon and eggs. The place and the whole atmosphere looked neglected. There were only 2 women and a man to do the cleaning of the rooms. They seemed not eager to do it. We had to ask them to it every time.
The beach is a disaster - very close to the port og Santa Fe. The water is just not inviting.
We had to hire a tricycle to look after nice beaches to bathe.
I will not recommend this place to anybody with a sound mind.

A CHEAT

The lousiest hotel that I have stayed in. Brownouts for 2 of the 3 nights that my wife and I stayed. Dirty garbage from adjoining neighbors not picked up, dirty dogs and cats occupying outside chairs at the porches, bitten by red ants in the bed, got ripped-off of additional payment for hot-water bath that was not working, unreliable hotel service and very slow wi-fi, no cabinet and cloth hangers to hang clothes, no desk and chair inside the room, no room cleaning and garbage pick-up daily because of insufficient hotel staff, hotel linens cleaned by hands, inadequate water supply which explains the presence of a bucket in the bathroom, no good restaurant close by- not worth the money that we paid. The nearby resort, North Ville Beach Resort is a much better place for the same amount of money. We tried to get a refund for the extra payment we made for upgrading to a room that has a hot-water shower in the bathroom which did not work, but management refused. They do not care for the comfort of the hotel guests. They only care for the money. So avoid this place.

Please replace your AC units. They're either loud or inefficient. Experienced 2 AC rooms both has bad units.

Everything is awful. It is very dirty. Everything falls apart and does not work. Toilet broken. The shower does not work, there is a bucket with water. Air conditioning very noisy and not efficient. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. Expensive! I definitely do not recommend it. Avoid. In any other place will be better. Service not very helpful.

Awful 

The owners like to brag that this place is close to the port. It is--too close. This being the Philippines, there are no public garbage cans, so garbage quickly finds it's way on the ground and then into the water. Being down-current from the port means the beach is littered with garbage--including broken glass. The caretakers there know this and clean the beach every day at sunrise, but they don't make an effort to clean up garbage in the water. The litter issue is an ongoing problem that will likely never get remedied short of a (US) 1970's style national ad campaign. If you wade in, you better wear shoes and walk slow.

I didn't experience the same level of indoor filth as other visitors, but I did notice it was needing maintenance.

There are better values elswhere on the island

Rooms aren't clean - found lot of cockroaches flying, door of restroom is damaged, restroom lights not working. Fan mounted in a wrong place which was distant to the bed. 

One good thing about the resort is the fast wifi. Prolly because my room is located near the router.
