After reading the reviews and photos I thought I was booking a room in a typical Asian guesthouse. I chose this guesthouse because they offered free airport pick up, however if you read the fine print it is only if u stay 2 nights. 

Rony, a German man, picked us up from the airport. There was some confusion about our flight and we were picked up late. It was a 1 hour drive in a hot car from the airport to the accommodation. We paid 360 php for the transfer. It would have been nice if they had a clean car, helped with luggage and had decent air con. The trip was somewhat uncomfortable and awkward, even more
Uncomfortable because we hadn't slept that night. I didn't find Romy warm or friendly and his English is limited. This makes me wish we had just taken a cab.  

The accommodation is a rented house on the hills in a more affluent area. It is quite far from the airport so probably not idea as a stopover. I am really not sure who this accommodation would appeal to. There are no shops or restaurants about, so you are kind of stuck unless you ask the hosts to drive you somewhere for a price, or order a taxi. 

There were three men running this accommodation, none of the men assisted us with our heavy luggage at any point. Mario offered us cold water on arrival which was nice.

There are soft toys on the stairs and artwork of the three men leading up the stairs which reminds you that you are in someone else's home. 

Please be aware that you are renting a room in a house, this is not your usual guesthouse stay. There are three rooms upstairs - a suite with its own bathroom and two small rooms which share a tiny bathroom which is a bath with shower over it. There is no soap, no bath gel, no bottled water supplied, no hand towel.. Only bath towels.

The room we stayed in was clean but pretty tiny, with rock hard bed which was barely big enough for two people. There was only a tiny blanket to cover us both. The blinds were sheer so bring an eye mask. We were not given a key to lock our room. I was surprised that we did not have an ensuite bathroom as I would never have booked the room had I have known this.  The bathroom was accessible from the doorway. 

In the morning the three men all cooked us a European breakfast. Once the breakfast was Cooked, both German men left the room for the Filipino man to clean up. The breakfast room was boiling hot, admittedly I didn't ask for the aircon to be turned on. 

I found the stay really awkward. I think they should market this place on air B and B as a home stay, not as a guesthouse.
