Went here to stay for a night but decided to opt out as early as we can. The place is not just for us. 

! Bed and pillows smells foul. Bathroom and comfort room is definitely not comfortable. 
! The room smells like it hasn’t been cleaned/occupied for a long time. 
! The water had a rusty smell. 
! The AC doesn't work. Staying in the room feels like you're inside an oven.

After about 5 minutes of staying, we raised our concerns and asked if we could transfer to another room, and they were kind enough to let us do so. However, it seems that all rooms were the same. 

We decided to Check-out and try other place on the same moment and asked for a refund, and thankfully they agreed!

For those looking for a clean, decent and on “budget” pension. Try the others. This is not the place for you.

Not just  for us!

We visited Dumaguete City last week and we thought that this one was of good quality service and amenities yet cheap but turned out to be a horrible experience. The room was small that we could hardly move around. You should invest in pillows as they were torn and has a foul smelling odor. Also, the placement of the bed seems wrong. The staff were also untidy and unpresentable to the guests. You should make your staff look neat and tidy before the guests.

Also, the placement of the sink in the bathroom seems wrong. You should have planned the layout of each room carefully and wisely.



Amenities & Services

I stayed at the Optimum Pension House from.the 15th May - 23rd of May I was traveling alone . It's basic ,  budget friendly accommodation . for me it was ok , if your particular about things this Hotel isn't for you . The rooms are small but clean ( the bed took.up most of the space ) The bathroom was small also but there is hot water to take a shower and WiFi  . I got along ok with the staff , friendly and helpful . If I was to visit Dumagarte again on a budget I'd only stay at Optimum for a night due to the size of the rooms . If you want to eat , 100 meters up the road there's many canterias , cafes , Jollibee , restaurants , etc  or jump on a tricycle for 10 pesos for a trip to Robinson's Mall or many other places around Dumagarte . In the Hotel there's no tea or coffee making facilities no foods or snacks it's just a very basic place to stay .

VERY BASIC 

I already paid for my room and when I arrived I show the conflation. She left me standing there for around around 15 mins. Finally she said we have do not have any record of your booking. My partner spoke and her attitude changed straight away and took us to our room. First the gave us a room with no WiFi and bed full of bugs. After complaining they took us to a room that was better. The air con is right on top of your head and keeps you awake all night with a cold in the morning. The center is 1 and half km away not 700 meters . 

This pension has modern style bedrooms. It was clean and comfortable. Their restroom was lovely. For me, very artistic. It's nice to my eyes. Recommended for travelers. Very budget friendly and they have good staff. I love it here!

Budget Friendly with good rooms!

It is really optimum for a pension house. Very affordable. The rooms are clean, i love the led tv for a pension house its 32 inches. Staff are great as well. We forgot to claim our 1000 deposit and they sent it back to ud through palawan pawnshop. No hassle. But i think they need to do something about their parking spaces.

Very good pension house

For 840 php per night I didnt expect much but was good.Clean, helpfull staff,good tvchannels.WiFi really bad in the room,not working at all in many rooms, you have to sit at the reception. Feels safe there, cameras in the corridor, security at the door, 24 hours reception. Would stay here again.
