Nice place in the jungle but very basic. Every Hut with its own bathroom but oldy and smelly and really really basic. Rooms are quite small with a bed and moskito net without any space. Free WLAN and drinking water. We wouldn't recommondate it without own motorbike because of the beautiful but secluded location.

Nice quit very basic rooms

My husband and I spent two nights here, lights, birds, morning chickens, it's romantic, it's nice to have repellents, the staff is friendly, the coffee in the cottage is delicious, the breakfast is delicious, it's about two kilometers to the center of Lobok, five kilometers to the zipline, we're not in a hurry to get there on foot.

A good place to relax.

Exactly what you can expect form a Nipa Hut located in the middle of the Jungle. Small rooms, raw concrete but private bathroom. Cold water from a pipe and squatting toilets. We loved it there however. The owner lives with his young family on site and is extremely helpful. He will rent you his bikes for 400 pesos a day. Cheaper than the guys at Tagbilaran port. Will provide breakfast for 100 pesos a day, 2 eggs and 3 pieces of bread if you ask. Ask him about watching the fireflys on a night boat trip (500 pesos each). Best surprise we had during our 3 week trip around the Philippines! 2-300 fireflys on one branch with the most incredibly night sky

Brilliantly Basic

I stayed in a nipa hut with two friends, toilet and cold water shower included. The surroundings are great with coconuts around and close to the river. The huts from outside seem great but from inside they are very basic (although provided with mosquito nets), they are builded with double nipa wall and were plenty of holes where lived rats. We heared them all the night and we hardly could sleep. There is a common area near the huts were served you meals and provided with wifi that was not very good. Quality price value was not really good as were only 200 pesos cheaper than a hotel nearby that was really good but was full for that night. If you want a comfortable and quite stay and you are apprehensive, I don't recommend you this place. I think you can find something much better for the price.

Bad experience in a beautiful surroundings

The resort is nicely located at the river. It was recommended to us because it was the only place with a kayak. The kayak and paddles were in good condition and the rental was easy.

Only place with a kayak

The place is beautifully located however the room is small and not very clean. The toilet tub is very low and there is no sink. There are A LOT of mosquitoes but it's the type of place that you know what you get when you choose to take it. It's nice to relax a bit in the wild.

Fair enough

Price/performance top!! friendly and fun staff. Hats small. No storage room, private bathroom/WC. Eat in the nearby city. Cheap kayaks and motorbikes rent at home. Good for 1-2 nights for budget travelers.

Small but fine

My husband and I booked online, and when we arrived there were no free, weird rooms, and they offered us the bedroom that was too rudimentary and too big for us, and we decided to leave, no refund was possible, disappointed.

Stop the car.

At the end of a long path along the Loboc River, the Nipa Hut Village awaits us. We went down there because the hostel mentioned in the tour guide was already booked. This turned out to be a lucky catch, because the small bamboo houses, designed and purpose-built, were not particularly quiet due to the location in the rainforest (many geckos :) but we hadn't expected otherwise.

A very pleasant stay in the jungle

We arrived unexpectedly. Seats were available in the dormitory (300 P per person)! The dormitory is above the common room so very noisy until midnight and it starts moving again around 6am! WC and common shower very brief and no hygiene. We migrated for the next night to a private hut (750 P for 2 people), much quieter but hygienic that leaves desirable and continuous leakage of water to the shower! The positive points are the scooter rental on site (400 P per day) and the very friendly setting by the river, very quiet! The guests are correct, the minimum of access, on site. To access it, take a meal on the left side of Loaytron downtown to Lobtron and continue to the station.
