We took a package from a local tour agency and WBR is a part of that package.  Can be categorized as Inn and not as a hotel.  Light fixtures on the toilet in our room is dimming to none, television is ancient and not working.  AC is ok as well as the beddings.  The staff are friendly and accommodating.  Food and other items near the beach are pricey so better plan your expenses or better yet buy from the market for consumable goods.  Restaurant foods are ok as well as the beach activities.  Though we support local tourism I agree with some reviews here that some vendors and other service providers are a little bit annoying (but nice approach) so this area/location is not for people who wishes peace and quiet ME time.  Definitely a place to go back :)

WBR Accommodations

Good:

The beach was amazing and some inns are nice and accomodating. I got no problems with the boatmen especially the ones in kayaking activities. The sand was also satisfying. White beach is an almost perfect place to beach bum and have a little walk by the shore in the morning. During my island hopping experience, there was  a lot of places to beach bum also and snorkel. 

Bad:

Whenever I tried to relax at the beach or simply eat food,  rude vendors (including massage therapists)  treat you as a walking ATM instead of a human being trying to enjoy the visit. They will keep bugging you even if you said you've already bought the same items or service from them. 
 

Another problem I encountered in white beach was the way the tricycle drivers demand you to spend overpriced transportation fees. The guide fee wasn't even included in the tour. It's like they treat every tourists (Filipinos especially from Manila and foreigners alike) like a walking ATM. I even witnessed my massage therapist talking to someone on the phone referring me to "It". She was speaking with a different dialect but I could understand some of her words. I wish someday they change the way they treat their tourists especially those who were only there to unwind from their day-to-day problems. 

Most of the food are overpriced.  I MEAN how can they sell salted egg for php 40?  In Manila,  its just around php 20 below. Even a simple sachet of 3-in-1 coffee cost like 20 pesos each.  

Friendly advice:
Just ignore those rude locals and try to make the most out of your vacation.  If they insist, just ignore them and look away. 

To save some money with food, i suggest you just bring your own especially eggs because it can be really expensive here.  If you don't want to,  I suggest also to just buy a bulk order of grilled liempo and chicken or bangus (boneless) near the restaurant called Foodtrip and take it out or just eat there (if you like unlimited rice).  If you like to try tapsilog or any food that is 'silog ', there is a small carinderia just in front of the tricycle terminal inside the resort. Tapsilog is only 80 pesos with garlic rice there. 

Bring your own 3-in-1 coffee sachets and milo milk sachets. If you have thermos for hot water,  the better.  You might also want to bring your own shampoo and soap. Make sure to have a van transfer going to the resort and going back to Mueller port or where your ferry is. 

Avoid the tricycles as much as possible when necessary. If you can't, make sure you have a stack cash with you to pay the

Good natural scenery, island hopping and snorkeling experience but with some rude, inconsiderate locals

This resort is for family . There are lots Of activities to do at daytime like water sports.At night even the young ones will enjoy the fire dance in front of the beach. There are lots of bars and restaurants also.Hotels are not so big but comfortable enough to stay and it is just a few steps away from the beach .

White beach

For what this place charges, which is too much, it should afford to make renovations.  It is a run down hotel.  The good news is that there is a/c in each room and had warm shower, but the rooms and the place itself was just awful.  The list is endless of what terrible shape it is in.  Plus we had ants!  Prime spot right off White Sands Beach, but, look elsewhere.

Needs renovations

Peak season is the bomb in White Beach. Perfect location for a night to just chill. 

From Batangas Pier, take Muelle port. Php350 with shuttle to White Beach itself. Just let the driver know which hotel u will be staying at. It is about 30-40mins ride. 

Another option is to head to Balatero port. That is about 7min tryke ride, Php100 (special, or u wait for it to fill four people). Less crowded and much nearer to White Beach. Montenegro RORO and Atienza services that port. 

Heading back to Manila during peak season is such a hassle if you’re booking for your ferry ride the same day. Best to get your ferry tickets one or two days before to secure the time and you must board an hour before the actual trip as it will be hard to get seats. 

How to get there and out

The room is just an average room with a bed,aircon,small tv that is almost not working all the time. 

The toilet flush function you need to be resourceful enough as pushing it is not working.

Room price is 1k for day and 1500 for an overnight.

Overall if you are not conservative for a room. This room is good for you.

Typical room

It is like an apartment style hotel. And it has basic accommodation and amenities. Their amenities were old. But our room was clean when we arrived. We even have an old television, but is cable ready.  Me and my family were not after 5 star accommodation, as we just wanted an accommodation that is cheap, clean and is located on the beachfront of White Beach, Puerto Galera.  I recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and is not very picky when it comes to your accommodation.  The staff were also courteous and accommodating, as they always grant our requests.
