I was not sure what to expect on this dive trip, but I was not disappointed at all. From arrival at the resort, we got introduced to the resort facilities and dive schedule. This diving experience and the resort set the standard for what I consider an amazing luxury and dive trip at reasonable price.  Asia Divers delivered an organized dive schedule with 5 Dives per day including the night dive. Using Nitrox I managed to enjoy every single dive from 8:00 AM after a lovely breakfast till 6:00 PM night dive. Each dive site had its own beauty and unique creatures. Then came Verdi Island dives and it was a whole new experience with an amazing reef and lush life with trigger fish, anthias and a variety of corals and unique creatures and tiny critters such as pygmy seahorse, mantis shrimp and many others. Tanks and equipment prepared by the dive crew with Nitrox (or air) and we just had to show up and dive. The resort was fun, beautiful atmosphere, exquisite sunrises and sunsets, lush canopy of trees and birds next to the beach. Good rooms that are comfortable and reasonably priced. The food was truly enjoyable. Lovely variety for breakfast and nice collection of coffee flavours and juices. 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner thatâ€™s amazing quality. You canâ€™t go wrong with this adventure. Iâ€™m definitely going back again!


Eat, Dive, Dive, Eat, Dive, Dive, Dive, Eat, Sleep and Repeat,  What an adventure! 

This is my favourite land based all inclusive dive destination. The staff are absolutely amazing  from the service, food, dive preparation and diving. There is nothing to concern yourself with except how many dives you are willing to fit in each day.

El Galleon in Puerto Galera provided a comfortable and relaxing stay during my Advanced Open Water course. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed. While the furnishings might be considered slightly outdated, they were perfectly adequate for the price point.
 
The staff was consistently friendly, accommodating, and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of an intercom system, requiring guests to walk to the reception area for any requests.
 
The food at El Galleon was decent, but the service was truly exemplary. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile made dining a pleasant experience.
 
Overall, El Galleon provided a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with friendly service and comfortable accommodations. The minor inconvenience of the lack of an intercom system was outweighed by the positive aspects of the hotel.

A Relaxing Stay with Friendly Service

El Galleon is probably the best diving experience I have ever had.  The diving is INCREDIBLE, with up to 5 days per day!  The staff, from the divemasters to the restaurant staff to the folks who take care of your rooms are excellent.  Great diving, comfortable beds and rooms,  and also, GREAT FOOD!  We spent six days in June, which is the offseason, and the way to go.  A lot of our dives were just the three of us because of the season. The staff even took JUST ONE of us for a couple of night dives! Yet despite the offseason the waters are smooth, warm with great visibility. Each dive includes a divemaster who maximizes your bottom times (50-60 minutes are average) and shows you all the sights. TONS of fish, and the widest assortment of hard and soft corals and anemones you are ever likely to see.  DIve sites are only minutes from the resort, with enough surface interval time back at the resort between dives so you never need a deco stop. Dollar for dollar probably the best value anywhere in the world.  You've got to try this place! A reasonably short van ride from the Manila airport to the resort.  You can dive the same day you arrive.  Don't miss out!

One of the best values in diving!

I have been to this location a few times and they make you feel like family. The staff is the best…..from food service to housekeeping to dive team they are always ready to help and do so with a smile.  Dive operation is a well oiled machine.  Food is great and happy hour at the point bar is a great atmosphere. If you like to spend your vacation diving this is the place to go.

Great Diving and Great Hotel Staff

I’ve been visiting Puerto Galeria and staying at el Galleon since the mid 1990s. Rated the best diving spot in the Philippines. So many dive spots within 15 minutes of the pier. El Galleon staff amazing. Alan the owner is loved by staff and guests. Patient well trained dive masters.

This would be my 4th stay at El Galleon. The hospitality continues to be outstanding. Along with great service comes a great restaurant. The menu will suit the many food preferences of guests from around the world. Rooms are clean and comfortable. 

Visit El Galleon for the best of Sabang Beach!

Food was great, folks were great, diving was great, dive crew were great, dive dock set-up was great, massages were great, prices were spectacular.  Room was meh.  It was pretty primative (concrete walls and small wall unit as a closet).  Also, while I appreciate limited resources and keeping prices down, the bath linnen was sparce (1 shower mat, 2 bath and 2 beach towels only, no hand towels or rags which was problematic with wet gear...no towels to put on ground to absorb drips).  Also, a couple of rag rugs at bedside would be nice to keep grit out of bed.
That being said, as long as you are OK with primative, this place is a must.  We will most likely be back, but will bring or buy extra towels for floor.

Almost perfect

Great atmosphere, the entire staff and crew made sure our group was well taken care of.  The Point Bar was a blast and always a great place up at after a day of diving.  Overall I would definitely recommend, only drawback was a bit of a climb to the upper ocean view rooms

Great atmosphere!

We came as guests and left as friends.  We spent 10 days at El Galeon and with Asia Divers in May 2023. Our bungalow was only a few steps above the restaurant with side sea view. Ideal location, so we could quickly go to the room between two dives. Nice room, large bathroom and terrace we were fully satisfied. 
The restaurant in El Galeon offers international and local food, we were fully satisfied and have always eaten there except for two times.  
Asia Divers is for us (over 800 dives) a diving center that belongs in the top league. The boat jetty on which the diving equipment is also stored is a highlight. The staff is extremely helpful and reads almost every wish from the eyes.  
The equipment is in top condition, the Nitrox tanks were almost always exact 32% and the fill level usually 220 bar. With the Bankas the surrounding dive sites are reachable in a short time, for Verde Island we used the speed boat, which limits the journey to 35 minutes.
The dive starts at 8 o'clock in the morning, so it is possible to do 4 dives per day plus one night dive. Since the boats usually return to the resort between dives, diving can be very flexible. 
The dive groups are limited to 6 persons and the guides find even the smallest critters. Also, as far as possible, wishes are catered for. Also as a UW photographer I felt comfortable in the groups, because the groups were relaxed and there was almost always enough time to take a good photo.
I refrain from naming individual people, it would be unfair if I forget someone. Everyone was simply great!!!
We can recommend El Galeon and Asia Divers anytime! Thank you guys so much
