Went there 12noon to confirm booking. Front desk confirmed. Then adviced me that room is being cleaned and ready for our check in. Told me that check in time 2pm. Went out for lunch and came back around 245pm only to find out that room us not yet ready. We were check in at 315pm. Aircon is not working. They offered to tranfer a room but room has no tv. Tsk tsk

Poor customer service

I booked for a really cheap room. I arrived late and i just needed to have a place to sleep for one night. The place is quiet and the staff corteous. I had a good rest but that's all. Manage your expectation.

Manage Your Expectation

This is a low budget hotel that offers the necessities: a good sized & comfortable bed, hot shower, tv and good aircon.
Further to that it is well placed for shops and transport.
However, it is rather rundown and in need of a make over.
The staff respond rapidly to requests.
We will use it again for a single night.

Fine for one night

The first time that i landed on the page where this hotel was indicated, they presented there hotel very nice the picture was great, you will be enticed to book.. but to my surprise, it was different, the room was so small, and when it is about noon time the airconditoning unit cannot make the room cold, it seems that it is having a hard time and there are holes in the location of the aircon so what i did was i placed a plastic bag, rolled it until it becomes a stick like and placed it on top, on the sides and on the bottom of the aircon so that the cold breeze will not go out.. 

The bathroom, it was good though the flush is not work, and water pressure is not good and the walls is just like a wood covered with cement.. cause u'll noticed if it is indeed a cement or not because of the sound

But the people where corteous, and always wearing a smile..

Not Amazing

This is very old pension house and still under renovation. The room is so stinky,it smell pee everywhere. Bathroom with black molds everywhere. The trash bin was not emptied from previous guest. The towel they gave was so old that it turns brown and very thin. 

I fill up form with my contact number. Yet they did not bother to infrom me i left some stuff (electric toothbrush at 2nd floor room booked dec 7 )at there. I tried to find their contact via internet found few but not working. So what's the use of filling up so form and putting our contact numbers.

Old pension house book thru agoda

This is a very old, run down place. No maintenance. Needs major facelift. Pillow cases, towels and linens are old and smells bad. There is a flat screen wall mounted TV but no channels, maybe for decoration purposes only. LOL. Shower heater not functioning, so no hot water when taking a bath. Upon entering the room, there were 4 drinking glasses available, with 2 still half filled with water, showing it was not cleaned after the previous guests left. The staffs were nice but needs training. Will not be coming back, as the title says, Just Once. Not recommended.

Just Once

We have no choice since we have to stay at Ormoc City because of the typhoon. I booked at this hotel since someone told me that it is okay there. I was disappointed even i know that a room ranging 500 to 800 pesos don't have that much to offer, the room was not that clean, our other room has a foul odor, no tv remote and kept on changing room since no TV reception also. Maybe because of the typhoon but worst was from 2am until 8am there was no electricity and they don't have a maintenance team to make that generator work. Really sad life because of the typhoon. The staff was friendly but not trained and seems like the management don't care about the staffs, don't care about the hotel and don't care about their guests. I'm not hard to please, just kudos to the friendly staffs who saved the image of their workplace. I hope that I am wrong that the management has forsaken this property.

Stranded

Of course do not expect something fancy for under $13.00 But this place is conveniently located to the pier, market and the few restaurants this town has.
Most of the time in the Philippines you have great TV reception and horrible Wi-Fi, Here it is the other way around. I never had Wi-Fi so good in this country. Another benefit for this price is that there is hot water. Bad thing, no toilet seat, what's the deal with that? But not uncommon in the country. The room is clean, reception and workers are very friendly. The front room is noisy during the day, but the city shuts down early and it will not keep you awake at night.
