The only thing that is nice is the garden. There is a pool that you can't use coz it's extremely dirty most of the time. They don't provide blankets that are comfortable, they are so thin. Running water isn't very clean sometimes, they changes color and sometimes have black particles coming out from the faucet. The curtains are not very descent. The only thing I liked during my stay was I was able to feed the stray cats, which kind of made me feel closer to home, but later on we decided to transfer to a different accommodation coz a lady told me to stop feeding the strays because she doesn't like them, and she is actually getting rid of them. Considering that the place isn't properly fenced, I don't think that is possible. In my opinion, I think it is more important to focus on cleaning the room to make your guests' stay more comfortable, than keeping the cats away. You also see cockroaches roaming around the place and even in your roam. Cats can help get rid of them. I hope they would be more compassionate with strays. The place has great potential if only they would invest in making good changes  in the rooms, and their service. Too bad that it's not worth your money, tbh.

This hotel is directly beside a basketball court and just slightly ahead of where the very impoverished live, needless to say this is not for those expecting an excellent place to stay. it is a small room with twin beds and a smaller  place to pee. Mosquitos will visit you and will not leave no matter what you try. There is no hot water unless you pay an extra $10 for the 3minute shower. The room doors open outward and don't quite fit the frame so the small insects can and do enter. There is no access to the beach and the swimming pool looked like a scientific research experiment. Although the staff was friendly and accommodating, I will never stay again

Know where your are

See above! Decent rooms, especially the new block with its sea views - nice little pool - but check it's not undergoing it's frequent flushing. So why stay anywhere else?! Well, the only reason would be the noisy, old-style aircons - but most Philippines hotels suffer from that affliction and few have such pretty gardens - unless you want to pay double!

Great Little Garden Resort!

The Good:
Walking distance to the Port and the new Shoemart Mall, secure parking, flat screen TV, paint is not yet peeling. Small covered patio with table and two chairs.

The Bad:
Broken towel rack, loosectoilet seat and missing toiletries. No room security safe. Stark decor, overly bright lighting, complete lack of charm or comfort. Seems geared more to "short-time" guests than weary travellers.

The Ugly:
Broken door-chain means poor in-room security and there is no room safe. Mosquito ridden. PLDT WiFi didn't really work.

Tip:
Ask for a room near Reception if you want to use the WiFi. Bring your bug-spray.

Convenient location, falling apart, WiFi failure, uninterested Management

Compared to whats available in the Ormoc area or entire island as far as that goes, this motel is rather nice. It employs an overabundance of friendly, helpful, staff. Easy access and very close to a handy shopping mall and grocery store.
The grounds are very spacious. Lots of room to roam around, sit and enjoy the scenery, or enjoy your companion.
I dont know if id recommend swimming in the outdoor pool. Its more like a pond, Beautiful but apparently not treated or filtered. However the water was drained and pool cleaned once during the week we were there.
Room is a good value for the price. No hot water though.
Usually had to to sit on porch to get wifi reception.

Nice by comparison

This was last minute booking. Arrived and checking in was efficient. The room was better than expected and the beds were very comfortable . Most importantly it was very clean. The air conditioning was great and efficient as it was very hot. 
The surprise was finding a lovely pool and gardens. Can see this is a great place for family gatherings with a superb function Hall for weddings and parties. 
Was provided a superb breakfast inclusive that was thoroughly enjoyed

your  hard up to stay there. shower has mold. no hot water. one of the worst hotel stays of my life. the pool does not have a filtration system so the water is green, roaches. aircon broken. this stay got from bad to horrible.

We booked through AGODA who do not verify information on accommodations (teir own words) The view of the bay was non-existent due to extensive construction works The state of the electrics was dangerous as two wall sockets were hanging off or broken, and the electric shower unit had exposed wiring. The shower area itself was old and never properly cleaned or disinfected.The  restaurant did not exist and meals had to be ordered (sometimes getting what you ordered, sometimes not)The untrained staff who don't understand laundering and changing bed sheets and bed-linen.  One of our mattresses turned out to be an uncovered piece of foam, taped up at the edges.They never  disinfect and spray insect deterrent. I've been to the Philippines a number of times, but never been so badly bitten (ants?) overnight. On occasions we were well overcharged for breakfasts and had to push for a recalculation.
It is not a hotel, think of holiday chalets needing modernisation and you will be about right. At least the air conditioning worked, and there was a small pool which did get a clean at least once a week. To be fair, the small garden was nicely laid out round the pool
The main road is right outside, and as the walls are thin it is very noisy, at least where we were near the entrance
Probably Ok for a couple of nights until you get decent accommodation, but even the locals consider it as a lodging or pension. Not recommended for Western visitors for longer stays.
