We stayed for 4 days. As we arrived and asked  reception if they have room service and wifi they said they have only wifi at lobby and no room service at all.

As we reached room and checked everything, I’ve noticed they were not providing any amenities at all. No shampoo, no soap and everything. You could only get towel. There were so many mosquitoes, small air condition and so annoying as its too noisy.

Breakfast was awful. How could you served breakfast food without inclusion of coffee. You have to pay extra for coffee. Rice was not hot at all. 

When we checked out, we were about to eat at their restaurant. As I heard from staff that chef went to beach to do surfing so they decided to closed the restaurant. But other staff said to my fiancée that chef went to market. 

I would not recommend this hotel again! Never !

Kuddos to “ Isla Paraiso travel agency “ specially to  Kuya Jake, look for him if you want your tour to be more fun !

Good place

We stayed in Novies for 6 nights in total. For the record, this place is really cheap so you can’t expect too much! 

Rooms were very average, beds were clean but far from comfortable. We had Air con which was a big plus. The scenery is amazing in the hotel, you’re essentially in the middle of a jungle which is pretty cool.... however this is a perfect location for bugs, ants in particular! Lots and lots of ants, non got into our room thankfully but there was 100’s just outside our door and in the bathroom! Not good.

Location was great, a little outside the city centre, 10 min tuk tuk which usually cost 50-70php. Also 10 min tuk tuk from Chrong Chrong beach which is really pretty.

Main negatives about Novies was it’s WiFi, power cuts and construction work! The whole reception area is under construction which was a pain as there were men at work from early morning until late night and it was constantly dirty! Just bad timing for us I suppose! 
From the 6 days we stayed we were effected by 4 power cuts which ment no air con! The WiFi didn't reach to bedrooms so in order to get connected you need to be close to the reception which was a pain! the WiFi also broke on day two and was broken for the remainder of our stay! When we asked the staff they said they had called the technician to come fix it but I guess he never came.

Staff were friendly but kept out of your way. Our room wasn’t cleaned once over the 6 days, no sheets changed or new towels which is kinda disgusting but hey, we had our own towels anyway! 

Overall, if you’re on a travellers budget like myself, this is an okay place to stay, it’s basic and you pay for what you get, but no WiFi for travellers can be tough! Especially if you’re trying to organise tours or look up stuff to do! 

Word of advice bring plenty of anti bug spray!

For what it’s worth

It’s was a nice stayed here with a garden balcony ambiance a comfy room , budget wise , friendly staff but unfortunately the WiFi is so worse , no tv & no heater at all ... Just a suggestion kindly upgrade the facilities & hope next time we visit the area is newly renovated ...Keep it up ...Thanks for the nice accomodation 

Biyaheng El Nido 

My wife and myself are older, but we enjoyed our stay. We had a garden bungalow and we did not experience any of what has been written here. Staff were nice, even printed a ferry ticket for me. 
Ac worked good. Breakfast is not really worth it but there are plenty of places around.
Best bit was that it was just a short walk to the beautiful stunning beach. Got some great photos and some amazing sunsets.

We found it ok.

Everything is good except that guy peeping through window glass.Caught him & confronted.He reasoned out that he went up there to kill the "cats"disturbing guests...!!!

Anyways,not to make this long 
Pls.be reminded not to leave your rooms unlocked & window glass curtain open.

Nice atmosphere

I've read some negative comments on this place but all i can say is the place was very nice. The gardens are lovely and quaint walk to your room. The room we booked was 16 and small but really ok for us. People moan about house keeping but wtf do you expect for the money..do you change your bed linen every day?..the AC was ice cold. Their is no hot water but it's a very refreshing shower I found.

The staff are lovely and food was reasonable I thought. I do t have any complaints other than.

1. Get new towels. These are well worn out now!
2. Get some fans in the reception and eating areas!
3. And tell the guy who goes round killing the cats not to be a peeping Tom and look in Windows..RM 16 while my gf was naked!..you was very lucky I did t find u!..we checked out next day..but overall I loved the place..

Not as bad as some suggested.

The hotel is set in the best location in El Nido. It has the beach 2min walk away and that where the sunsets are. The hotel staff were super helpful with everything, couldn't do enough for us. However the power did keep going out and there is no wifi in the room which is annoying.

Beautiful Hotel

The staff tried their very best to keep us happy. I hate the room I booked so I paid more to upgrade. It was a bit better but the room didn't feel really clean and there was dripping water on the metal roof the whole night so at 3am I went to reception and they moved us to different room. The garden is really pretty green and lush. We had really nice breakfast there

Due to some of the rooms are for 6 and more people it could be really noisy. As some of the larger groups don't respect that someone can sleep at night and they played load music ...... But that is not Novie's fault but the people who stayed there
