I choose this hotel because the woman in charge told me there was wifi in the room, very important for me as I had to work form a peaceful space. But in the night when I used the room for the first time, I discover there was no wifi. I complained to her and she shouted at me, raised her voice and yelled me "GO!". Awful!

Rude!

Staff were rude and unhelpful. Added on an extra 5% charge for paying on card without informing us prior. Rooms were extremely basic and small and stank of moth balls. There was no hot water which was not made clear to us before booking. And the WiFi only worked in the reception which was tiny. 

Worst hotel ever!!!

We stayed in the hotel, we paid on booking.com by card, the night before leaving the hotel the manager said we must  pay in cash which is over the amount allowed take out per day, so we were charge extra for this and it should not be advertised as pre pay with credit card.

Also they hotel had no hot water as it is all “solar panels” powered. There was no hot or even warm water. The WiFi only worked in the tiny reception. 

Staff issues

Had a 2 night stay at Giecel. Very friendly staff and clearly family run. Rooms a good size and A/C worked well. At 45 Euros a night I think you need to provide hot water. Some lame excuse about having a solar panel that may or may not provide doesn’t cut it. So if you want a hot shower after a day trip then your better off elsewhere 

Nice family run hotel but no hot water

I arrived from Puerto Princesa late and just needed a room for one night until morning. I walked around to four places and chose this place based on price. The room had AC, but no warm/hot water at all even though they told me it had hot water. There is no WiFi in the rooms, but in the lobby and eating area instead. I asked the owner/manager if the 
AC could be turned on for a little while so I could use the WiFi, but she was really grumpy. I would not stay here again.

One night was enough

Supersweet staff. The hotel itself is not fantastic. Lacks charm, situated a bit far from The beach in a warm and dusty area. Rooms are okay, no hot water, no working wifi and no cleaning unless you ask. But it's a fine room if you just need a bed and some aircon :)
