I came on a weekday afternoon with my family for a late lunch and a bit of sightseeing. The art gallery section of the place, though still under renovation, was open for tours and we did love the art and the photos we took. However, the restaurant service was TERRIBLE. Server was not familiar with the menu items (for instance, they did not know what kind of meat was in the pasta dishes) and our group waited 45 minutes for our food even though the place was not busy at the time. Our drinks came at the very end of our meal, right when we were asking to just cancel. Portions are small for the price, though the presentation is good. Lastly, the cashier charged my credit card three times by mistake (after two "failed" attempts to charge my card which took almost 15 minutes to process); fortunately, they were able to credit it back within a couple of days. Will likely return to check out the art gallery and theatre, but will not be visiting the restaurant again.

Nice for photos but resto service is bad

Aside from the unlimited Starbucks coffee that comes with the 100 php entrance fee, the pasta choices at the Backstage Cafe are also superb. They range from 200-250 php, the best of which is Tuyo Carbonara. 

After some meal, you can tour around the art and music school. You can also watch the kids' concert on Sundays if you happen to go there on said day. 

There are many Instagrammable areas which you will surely enjoy. 

The staff members are welcoming and nice. 

Excellent pasta choices

Overpriced rooms with minimal room amenities. Not recommended for stay altho the museum and restaurant is lovely. Recommended for a visit but DO NOT Stay here. A lot of better options in Subic and cheaper.

Nice to visit, Not for Stay!

Very accommodating staff! And a good base to have for island hopping. The food in Backstage Cafe was very good especially the Tuyo Carbonara and Polvorones. Special mention to Jeffrey whose customer service is a cut above the rest.

Great Place and Good Food

Our family stayed here for New Year. We reserved two deluxe rooms and one family room. 

The entry to the family room had a living room but it had a musty smell, hence we did not use it. The family room itself though was well maintained with 1 king bed and 2 deluxe beds. Rates already include breakfast. The deluxe rooms have comfy beds but one of the rooms had a malfunctioning air-con.

The staff was very nice. There were only four staffs there for the holiday and one of them was Jeff who helped us from bags to serving the food to taking our pictures.

Reserving the rooms were very easy as well. I just sent them a message in their Facebook page and the manager Arman was nice enough to answer all my questions - which is quite a lot :))

If ever you'll be staying in a different resort you can also try their restaurant which as reviewed by others have 'lots of Instagram worthy' nooks. Our favorite was the 60's van at the back with old books. There is also a museum nearby with paintings from the owner's sister. Another reason why I didn't give perfect rating other then the AC in the room is that because a lot of the stuff in the menu was unavailable - probably because of the holidays.

I would also love to see an event of children playing violin which was not done because of the holidays, but they were gracious enough to invite us for lantern flying for New Year celebration :)

Btw the place is not beachfront but it is 5 minutes via car to San Miguel Beach which always had high tide so we opted to go to Pundaquit Beach which is around 10 minutes via car.
