I wanted the whole world to know the real story behind the NEGATIVE 1 ratings.   December 2022 we were in that hotel booked for 3 days for 2 rooms. 2 months before ---- I asked the receptionist to give me the biggest most comfortable room and I will pay.  I am asking to pay ahead of time for the rooms to be reserved but they said it can be paid during the day of the booked reservation.  Comes the day of the reservation.. We travel 21 hours from out of the country just to be with a relatives wedding...  Went to the office to pay..  We went to the room..  It SMELLED SEPTIC TANK had been OPENED inside the SMALL DIRTY room. Outside was FULL OF GARBAGE and 4-5 HUGE BLACK BASINs....The RUDE LADY MANAGER went to us in the room and said the rooms are filled as there were a LOT of weddings reservation.  Instead of APOLOGISING, she said I AM BEING CHOOSY...   She told me that she will fix things up..   She went back to the Office.  When she came back, she said SHE CANCELED the reservation and WE ARE FREE TO GO.  VERY VERY RUDE, HEARTLESS, UNPROFESSIONAL Human being I have ever encountered.  I HAVE 2 KIDS WITH ME and the RAIN WAS POURING...  It was already 8 PM and it was very very hard to find a HOTEL..  TAGUM CITY DOESNT HAVE A TAXI... Can anyone imagine how I would find a place to stay with 2 kids with me, very hungry, tired and just want to relax already for the night ? The next day the kids had fever...  If I ONLY HAVE too much time in the Philippines I would SUE THAT WOMAN...  Is she even a human being.....?  ... One day...  KARMA COMES to rude people especially when others are helpless to protect themselves...

RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL HEARTLESS MANAGER

Full of regrets booking this hotel from 1/5-6/5, first day the flushing can only flush once but we got a change of room as consolation. Housekeeping is only upon request, even that be careful, when we requested housekeeping on third day, receptionist informed no cleaner available so they didnt do anything even we came back from travel that day, so new towel, bottles of drink and no rubbish disposal. I have to dispose rubbish myself for two nights. 
Breakfast costs 160pesos with sausage in box n rice only and instant coffee. Miko’s brew restaurant which is nearby costs the same but with freshly brewed coffee and am sure better breakfast, you are better off with instant noodles at 34 pesos. This hotel costs S$49 per night, nearby hotels in Tagum, davos even costs lessor, and yet no breakfast included. Service is really below standard even for budget hotel and when we question receptionist why no housekeeping that day, she told us she is off. Really very poor front desk service and irresponsible reply. You will be better off booking nearby hotel and infact theres one comparable hotel at S$44 with breakfast, and even cheaper budget hotel. Location of hotel is very deep inside and you need transport to arrive at hotel. No nearby amenities or shopping or cafe, even the household bakery you have to walk alongside the uneven road for about 10mins. Not recommended at all even for budget travellers.

Been here for a wedding to attend. 3D/2N. Room is not that clean. Smelly toilet. I had to clean it myself. No rags or floor matt. Shower 🚿 full of mold & dirt. I think they have a lack of maintenance here. I guess after a guest checks out, they just change the beddings & that’s it. Lucky there’s no smell on blankets & pillows. Not that quite. Door locks is very hard to lock. I need to call someone in the reception to assist us. Room 107 to be exact. Please pay attention on complaints. No wardrobe. In short no ppace to put your things rather that the floor with ur luggage itself. But huge room space. Place accessibility is good. 1 ride from G Mall. Free bottle of water when we arrived but you have to request the next day. They did not refill it everyday so you have to ask. Breakfast P160 per plate. Taste ok for me. Ordered corned beef, tapa & longganisa. I like their rice so sticky. Toiletries provided. Toothpaste & toothbrush, soap. Towels provided. All in all CLEANLINESS ISSUE. 👎👎👎👎👎

very strange hotel , a road and rooms on both sides, rooms without windows, no cabinet for clothes, no room for the breakfast, no laundry service,  no light switch from the bed, no towels when i arrived, bar closed, lot of things to be improved

strange hotel, lot of thing missing

I have visited many countries and been in many hotels and for the first time I have to write "Never again". As usually in the Philippines the service level was excellent. The staff did their best, but hotel build as is built and cleaned as it is cleaned, I can not recommend this hotel to noboby unless atleast some biggest problems are solved, which actually most likely would not cost so much. 

First there was no wardrobe in the room meaning there was no place where to put clothes. This is astonishing since the rooms are big and building a simply wardrobe can not be that expensive. Secondly there seems to be no cleaning in weekend. This considering the price level in Tagum can not cost so much that it could not be arranged. Also the general level of cleaning was low, since for the first time I had to ask another room because simply the shower was in mould, bed sheet dirty and mirror in the room dirty. Again I can not believe that this was delibate act from the staff, but due to general cost saving policy in building and running the hotel.

 But still changes in these do not change the fact that air con in the rooms is old and laud and even if I shuted it down, I could hear it from the other rooms making very hard to sleep. This was the final stroke, why for the first time in my life, I choise to leave a hotel, which I had already paid, and change it to another. This was Big 8, which was more expensive, but fullfilled European hotel standards with moderate room rate.

Unfortunately "Never again" unless

We were there for a sports event and the room is nice and spacious. Cleaning of room is upon request. Though the location is not at the city center and it is not the route of the public transportation but The receptionist is always accommodating and I appreciate it a lot because we came in as a big group. You can request from the front desk to hail a tricycle. We also ordered breakfast from fast food chains and they assist us in doing so.
