Tagum

A good choice if you are a group of 3 or more because they offer rooms with as many beds. As some reviews had mentioned, the rooms are very basic and only small pieces of soap provided. We had to buy shower gels, shampoos, toilet paper, etc... but not complaining because with the price we paid, we should expect so. Free breakfast is also basic but not bad. If you just need a place to shower and sleep and would not like to spend unreasonably for such purposes only, try this hotel.

You get what you paid for

Booked two rooms for 2 nights with pay at the property option. Upon check in, used only one room and asked manager if i can just use one night for the other room and she agreed. I paid for my 2 nights stay. She asked to amend my booking at Agoda but no answer from customer service for two days. 

Upon check out, I paid for the other room for my colleague for one night stay. I was given a receipt and guest folio. But an hour after I left the property, the manager charged my credit card for the one unused night which she agreed to the change upon my check in. She used the credit card from a previous stay. I had to call the bank to inform them the transaction was unauthorized! Good thing I got an SMS alert on my card!

Stayed in one of Royale's dorm rooms because all other rooms were booked out.

They've put in some thought into the dorm room. Separated the shower from the comfort room and placed the sink outside as well. So if you are in a rush, three people can do three different things at once without having to line up or wait for whoever is in the bathroom to be done. If all you needed to do was brush teeth, the sink is right outside so no need to wait for whoever is in the shower.

The beds are comfortable. Location is near a mall and they have a tricycle that ferries their clients for free. 

Shower is big and there is hot water (yehey)! But when we got in, the toilet was not cleaned and had stains. Housekeeping needs work.

We had no trashcan in our room. There is no cable too - only local channels available. WiFi is weak.

We ate dinner in their cafe on our first night and never returned. Very few choices and the food was terrible. But food in Tagum is generally cheap so walk around and consider other food options.

If you book through their facebook or inquire online, you might want to follow if up with a call. Their reception is disorganized and at times, do not seem to have any idea what is going on.

Nice beds, ok service, awful food

I stayed here twice already. What I like about this place is how the roon is well lit, I mean, the room is really bright, which is to my liking. The bed is big enough to fit 2 people. I also take into consideration the toilets, which I happen to like about this place. 
 
They also have a free shuttle going to GMall Tagum, which I think is wise since the hotel is not located along the highway. 

I remember them informing that they can offer discounts once I stay there for the third time, too bad I haven't taken advantage of it since the 3rd and 4th time I was in Tagum, they were already fully booked. 

They also offer free continental breakfast.
