Had an excellent stay as part of a course. The rooms were comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Food was great, and the staff kindly adapted all meals to our dietary requirements. And the environment of the hotel, with close proximity to the Białowieża reserve and forest, is amazing. We were able to hear wildlife and see the milky way from the hotel garden.

I was very happy with staying at Dworek Gawra. The staff are kind, the site is nice, the room and the food is very good. They were very good at adapting to vegan cooking. I can warmly recommend this place. Looking forward to return some day.

Dworek Gawra is a nature-close retreat in Białowieża Forest. The cozy wooden accommodations, close to tranquil trails, provided a peaceful stay. "Białowieża Bliss: Dworek Gawra – A Tranquil Nature Retreat"

Dworek Gawra is a lovely place to stay, at walking distance from Bialowieza strict reserve as well as amenities in town. The hosts are eager to please, and food was great, incl for veg(etari)ans :-)
We stayed a full week, with a group of people interested in forest management for biodiversity conservation. The final evening, the hotel provided a fantastic BBQ around a campfire and we danced into the night.

Great experience! Perfect location for nature walks in the Bialowieza forest, with an easy access to guided tours at the strict protected area and to the path Zebra Zubra that leads to the bison reserve. Spacious rooms, equipped with comfortable beds, nice sofas and tidy bathrooms. Upon request, we recieved versatile and nutritious vegan and vegetarian dishes, nonetheless giving us a great glimpse of traditional Polish cuisine. The staff has always been kind and caring. Much recommended, especially the rooms with a balcony!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great stay

Dworek Gawra was a perfect place to stay in Bialowieza. Cosy and very clean and nice. Good breakfast and very friendly owner couple, even though only mrs speaks a few words English. In June nesting birds were singing above our window from early morning till night. <3

Lovely place!

We loved staying here.  Although the owners speak little English, they are very warm hearted and hospitable.  Their daughter, Justyna, knows English.  We also suggest a simple information sheet in the rooms with check in/out times, breakfast time etc.  We stayed in one of the rooms away from main building.  It was very cosy, clean and stylish.  Very clean and modern shower room; even more luxury with big, white towels.  We missed tea bags in the room but picked some up at breakfast.  Great location in centre of village behind Hotel Zubrowska. Our first choice in Bialowieza.  Thank you

Home from home

I very much enjoyed my stay at Dworek Gawra. It is rustic - hunting lodge theme in the main building.  For good or bad, in the lodge, you’ll be able to see taxidermied representatives of many creatures that once lived in the forest. 

My room was comfortable, clean and cozy.  I arrived late, @ 11pm. The women that was there that evening had only a few words of English but we were able to get everything sorted quickly and I was in my room in a few minutes.

Many choices at the breakfast buffet. Friendly and welcoming staff.  Beautiful grounds. Off street Parking is good. Internet in my room didn’t exist - but that is as advertised. Unfortunately found internet in Public areas intermittent.

Great place to stay

It's still warm in October, and the colours of the turing leavings in Bialowieza forest are gorgeous. Dworek Gawra was basically empty when I arrived. I was shown a massive room, which included a sitting area, kitchenette, and bathroom. I was very comfortable. No breakfast was offered ad it was the off season, but a corner shop was nearby for supplies, as well as restaurants. It's a short walk to the entrance to tge Palace gardens and the National Park Office where you can book a tour. Bikes are available for hire, but I was given mine for nothing. The host speaks german, and another female staff spoke English.  Well priced!

Off season comfort

In this hotel/guesthouse facility is the restaurant now. We went thru direct access to dworek and was difficult to find the restaurant. It is a very nice and large room, finished with wood boards. 

We liked their regional food. The soup Solianka - was an original recepy of meat soup with tomatoe base and olives. We also tried the potato "kiszka" - the boiled potatoes with onion and sausage, baked together in loaf style "baba", or stuffed in gut like a sausage "kiszka". Need to try, cause the prices were on low side.
