Lulu guesthouse is located quite far from the center. They offer clean rooms at a smart price. Despite I book a single room I got a large room with three beds and a separate entrance. Approximately 500m from the hotel is a tram stop where we can get to the city center or the train station and the beaches Stegna. A little further from tram stop is located Tesco open 24/h.

Gdansk - Heart of Tricity

There's a number of hostels along the main street and Lulu is probably one of the cheapest and thus less impressive from outside. As soon as you get inside, you'll find out that it's cosy and comfortable - perfect for a short stay. The rooms are quite small with a small bathroom but clean and with basic equipment like TV, sheets, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Do not expect a glamorous hotel room - it's rather a place to sleep and spend evening at. My grade is based on such value for such a price. You can get breakfast that is brought to your room (which is a great idea), you may actually feel like home:-) breakfast is ok - tea, fresh bread, cheese, jam, ham etc. TV offers a lot of channels.
Lulu was close (approx. 500 metres) from the tram stop and it took a few stops to get to the centre of Gdańsk. There was no problem with moving around, the location was good for this price, especially when compared to hostels downtown.
The owners were very nice and friendly. It was a silent area and we spent two nights without disturbance. It's worth mentioning that we visited Gdańsk on a cold November weekend and the room was warm:-)
