Rooms very dirty, soap dispensers at the sink and in the shower with red mould! curtains for darkening too small, pillows dirty and with holes.Too little toilet paper, motion detectors of lighting react too late (consider stumbling) spa area, spa area Turkish sauna was dark and too cold, all wellness services turned off like massage, lighting in the pool turned off, hot tub turned off and standing stinking cloudy water!At the reception we were told the whole thing was defective! very quickly we had to go on to the average and ask bread questions...None of the ladies in the morning's reception should have been restricted to a nice thing like coffee, lighting out in the pool, hot tub turned off and stood up and smelly water!

A clean but simply furnished hotel. I can see this being a typical ski hotel in the winter, fine if you spend no time in your room! Friendly staff/owners and simple but adequate breakfast buffet and bar will stay open late...

Clean and basic

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not a notorious nörgler, I'm actually always looking past shortcomings in both rooms, but in the total package there's little freedom of movement. The total package in terms of price was right here, but not at all. The room (we had two premium double rooms) is very small and doesn't even fit a 2-star standard in the equipment. The bathroom is MINI (max. 4m2), there was a rainshower for the cost, but in both rooms there's almost no freedom of movement. The rooms are very light and not light - they look very improvised. The garbage is very clear and the carpet is very cold. The carpet is also very clean, but most of the time you can't see the green part of the bathroom, but you can't see a whole lot of it, so it's better to check it out!

Better book other hotels, even if the runway's a little further away.

Let's start with the good news. We were here with a Polish family who are friends from back home in London. Yes, sigh!, it's all downhill from here. Karpacz is a delightful "German-esque" hill-station that is no longer German. No Germans live here anymore though this town is close to the border with Germany and the Czech Republic.  Hey, the delights of Prague are a couple of hours down the road. If you speak English (and don't speak Polish), you are unlikely to read this review.  You are also unlikely to come across anyone from anywhere else but Poland. I go out of my way to not bump into British package holiday-makers. You'd be very safe here.  But it's a helluva price to pay. No one here speaks English or German or Czech.  Not that we speak German or Czech.

Right. About the property. Sadyba is a 4 star spa resort (pronounced Sad-ee-baa) and we're here because everything else was booked.  It is therefore a given that their usual victims aren't unsuspecting British tourists, (bah! perish the thought) but Polish ones. I don't know how much we're paying exactly (protocol that needs to be observed with aforesaid Polish friends from back home, though we'll know once we get there). 

There is nothing 4-star about this place. And since we're charitable, I'll say it's "quirky". There is no mini-bar in the room. No great shakes since you can open the window and pop a bottle of water on the ledge and it will be nice and cold in an hour or so. There is no phone in the bathroom. Heck, there is no phone in the room. There is also no room service. How on earth would you call for it??  There is no phone. Which h meant I had to walk down to let the management know that the drain in our shower cubicle was blocked. They promised to call a plumber who was meant to fix things by 3 PM and by 5 PM nothing was done. No surprise.... we Londoners know what it's like with Polish plumbers. And the ones here are far more Polish than the ones we have back home.

Just as a BTW, the spa staff aren't hotel employees. They are contractors.  You can't charge your massage and pedicure to your room.  It's cash only. Like all the shops, restaurants and merchants in town.... big stickers on the doors saying Visa and MasterCard welcome here, but they will only take cash (sorry, broken terminal). A town full of tax-evaders.

Another quirk. The housekeeping staff are contractors too.  They are paid by number of rooms cleaned.  Guess what? Our room wasn't cleaned the next day. Why?  Well, we didn't hang the "please make my room sign" on the doorknob. We couldn't.  We never had one in the room!!!  N one does.....I know that because between us and our friends, we have 3 rooms here. So it is only logical that it will be at least 1 or 2 days before you know that housekeeping's default position is not to clean a room. Hah! If you were used to someone cleaning your room unless you had the "do-not-disturb" sign on the doorknob outside, you will not be disappointed here.

I could go on.... breakfast, the "spa", pool facilities, Jacuzzi... all dire.  Let's just leave it here.

If you're not Polish and avoiding British holidaymakers, you've come too far!

Small and old style room with virtually no space to move around.
During 3 night stay no one came to clean the room or remove the garbage.
So called SPA area is terrible. Small pool with freezing cold water, stinky Jacuzzi, ok sauna, no warm water in the shower, no towels or soap. 
Entertainment area for kids looks like orphanage from sixties.

Good location and friendly staff, walking distance to 3 skiing slopes. Good buffet breakfast.

Overall experience – way overpriced for the level of facilities.

The first thing I noticed was that at the front desk I got a little discouraged, but the first thing I noticed was that I was asked for my car's license plates so that they could know where to tell me when the car broke down because this can happen here more often, the gentleman said! The room was small, but the bathroom was nice too, and old furniture was not, so we booked and paid for it! On demand, everything was full. The pool area is small, cold, and well, spaffet nox to see.

Never again! No recommendation!

I was the only guest in the hotel (9.12.-10-12.14) 120 Zlotys, had everything for me. People were very friendly. Spent two hours at the spa in the evening.

Simple and recommended

I really enjoyed my trip to Karpacz. After a long day of walking, it was a good idea to go to a spa and relax. On rainy or cold days, I went to the lush inside swimming pool. The staff were really helpful and caring to all customers.

NOTE: In the pictures, only German cars are shown in the hotel parking lot. In two consecutive nights, our car and an Audi Q7 were stolen. Some information about the hotel: - The lobby and the hotel from the outside was modernized. But that's all. - The rooms are partly equipped with new but mostly cheap furniture.
