Convenient price, comfortable room and bed, quiet and perfect location, friendly staff. Pension is located in a quiet backyard, ideal for a great rest. I have been suggesting it to all friends and family visiting Krakow, and they have been always fully satisfied

Ideal for visiting Krakow

Good:   Excellent location – walking distance to historic Jewish Quarters and Schindler’s Factory.  Close to a tram that takes you to the Old Town.  Also plenty of cafe’s, restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate neighborhood.  Private courtyard for car-parking (no noise).  The owner is very friendly and speaks English OK. 

Bad:   The apartment was a bit dark.  No English TV channels.  The reception staff had little English capability but the owner was able to speak English.  Slow WIFI.

Average accommodation – Good location

Hotel has a good location near the city center with private parking which is very useful. Staff was very friendly. We got an average room without bathroom which was located in the hall only a few steps from our room. Breakfast was served in Greek style restaurant in the same building. Basic breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and water and 3 types of bread with cheese, ham, jam and butter. Overall was a pleasant stay for such a great price.

Good location, good breakfast and friendly staff

Great location in Krakow and a clean and simple room.  The room was small, with two single beds along the same wall.  The first room I was given had a broken window.  The front desk immediately switched rooms and maintenance was there to fix it for other guests within minutes.

This is an older and renovated hotel, but there is not much that can be done for soundproofing between the rooms.  Don't expect a lot of sleep if you are a light sleeper and your neighbor falls asleep with the TV on.

Staff was Great, Breakfast Better, Room was Small

This place has more pro's than con's. It was important to us to park our car somewhere off street and Patria proved to be the perfect place with a monitored courtyard behind an iron gate. The reception was 24/7 occupied by helpfull, english speaking staff. It's a 10 minute walk from the old jewish quarter and 20 minutes from the old town, but there's some nice eateries closer by as well. Breakfast is included. Nothing fancy, but enough to get the day started. 
As with most Polish rooms, the interior looks like it's from the 1983 Ikea collection. Not really an eye-sore, but nothing pretty either. They are comfortable though and the shared bathrooms are clean and spacious.
I've read other reviews stating that windows in the roof don't open, so it gets insanely hot in summer. This is not true. The windows open like windows usually do so roomtemperature is fine, even on a hot sunny day.
The location, service, breakfast and secure parking Patria offers makes this highly recommended for those looking for a good place in Krakow for a reasonable price.
