For the marriage of a friend we stayed one night in Petropol hotel. 
It is modern, clean and smart equipped hotel. The price is ok. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is also modern and serves good dishes for acceptable prices.
We recommend this hotel for private stays as well as for Business stays in Plock.

Clean, modern and good hotel

Nice hotel, rooms are big enough for a small child and a baby. The hotel features outdoor parking in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good, enough choice. Little point of criticism, the cleaning. There was still tooth paste on the bathroom floor from the previous guest. When in Plock, book this hotel.

City center hotel

After leaving twice top reviews previously I am very sorry to say it’s nothing like it used to be. Our room hasn’t been made up/ cleaned the first day. The usual lovely breakfast buffet gone. Breakfast a la carte only, which might be OK if we had the time to wait. It took two reminders about no soap in the bathroom. Still, the worst was the fact that right underneath the hotel the is some sort of rave/ecstasy club open until 05.00. The music was wildly loud and it kept us awake until five. After five the hyped/ drunken aggressive club guests moved to the hotel and kept partying in the room beside. Calling the reception resulted in no help at all, so I dressed up and went downstairs to ask for intervention from security staff, which I assumed was present at the hotel. To my horror I discovered that the only staff member present at the hotel at night is the receptionist. I can live with lack of cleaning, no breakfast, but the level of security in this hotel is ZERO. One person responsible for safety in a 7 story building at night !?!?!? What if she gets sick/faints/gets attacked by some drunken disco goer? Who helps the employee then, and who takes care of the guests?
What is more shocking is the fact that hotel and the “Prestige angels club” cooperate, despite previously registered complaints about noise and wild screens outside the hotel windows (read other reviews)
Anyway. If you don’t mind the changed breakfast offer, the lack of care and attention, the disregard for basic security rules enjoy your stay. I strongly advice that you ask for a room facing away from the club, and as high above the ground as possible.  We had to face 23 hours trip to Singapore after a sleepless night, and we will not be coming back.

What has happened with this hotel?

We have stayed here a few times  and the hotel is modern, with a nice restaurant and lovely staff. The problem is the nightclub next door that opened a year ago. It stays open till 5 a.m.plays insanely loud music, and there are lots of drunks making noise, fighting, shouting etc. What makes things worse is that the Hotel management now cooperates with and promotes this club. We stayed again the 28the December and the noise levels were  horrendous, there were drunk people arriving in the early hours that threatened staff and caused huge problems for those normal guests who just wanted a good night’s sleep. Amazing that the hotel management seems to have no regard for the safety of its staff or it’s guests. Avoid this place at all costs, it’s a disgrace to the Best Western name.

Stay away from this hotel

As a BW Rewards diamond member I don't mind the lack of status benefits (no gift, not to mention upgrade). Hotel seemed nice and well renovated, however our room at 7th floor was a nightmare. This nonsmoking room smelled like an ashtray, there were cigarettes burns on window courtains and the worst of all... the bed and carpet was covered with stains that looked and smelled like a vomit... totally disgusting ... sorry for  attached photo... We got moved to another room which smelled better but still the cleanliness was an issue in this hotel. The staff was not helpful and didn't bother to compensate this by any means. To be fair the breakfast was decent but I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would rather recommend to stay away from this BW property.  

Worst hotel stay of this year 

This place was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The welcome was second to none as they have room ready early, the room had small baby bath for our young child as well. As a family we had varous needs and the hotel met them.  I would recommend them to everyone. We will be back.
