This place is in an extremely convenient location. I know this neighborhood well, having stayed in Poznan three times in the past year. This location is a ten minute walk to the Poznań Główny (main) train and bus station. You can also get a taxi to the airport easily for around 30 ZL. It is also a ten-fifteen minutes down to the old part of the city. It is extremely convenient and safe. There is a Sheraton a few blocks away with a nice coffee shop and bar/restaurant in the lobby with free Wifi, and a nice staff. You can also get a taxi there. There is also a 24 hour liquor store several blocks away. The name of it is "24 Alkohol" I think. Most younger people speak some English as well so you can ask.  The location is at the back of a courtyard on the right side at 11 Bukowska. The staff who welcomed me were friendly and the price was right. The room itself was as described on the top floor (no elevator) under the roof. Free Wifi. The bathroom is directly across the hall as is the kitchen. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. Everything looked brand new when I was there. This must have been a 4 room apartment at one time. During the day you have to share the bathroom and kitchen with a few people in an office on the same floor. It was really no problem because they are gone after work, and arrived around 9:00 am. So you have the entire upstairs to yourself at night. They are very friendly so it was no problem for me. All in all it was a great location, and very friendly staff for a decent price. I will definitely stay there again.

Excellent location - Quaint room - new rennovation

Great location, very nicely decorated interior, clean – private bathroom. Nice solution with keys, they give lot of independence cose of the electronic system. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kettle and fridge in the room was an added plus of this place. If you don't need help from reception each hour a day - you don't notice that they work only few hours a day :) it's not a hotel, more like private rooms – but very comfortable and good looking.
It's about 5 minutes walk from train station, and 20 from Main Market, 2 minuets from tram stop. Next to Poznan Fairy – so location perfect.

nice weekend in Pentagos

We stayed in this hostel for couple of nights.
The hostel is located about 10 min from the Rynek (main square) of Poznan in a block of flats very close to the main fair area (you probably would need a map to find it).
The place is pretty strange because rooms are located in big flats. The access is granted by an elecronic key (not to lose or to forget in the rooms during the reception closing time otherwhise you would sleep on the floor).
However rooms are very nice, confortable, fully renovated, cleaned and furnished with LCD TV and private bathroom (we slept in a double rooms). Free internet connection was also available to guests.
Price paid was extreamely cheap compared to the quality of the room (100 PLN per night for two people).
Unfortunately the hostel does not provide 24H reception and possibility to have breakfast onsite.
Generally speaking a great deal for a budget staying nearby the Centre of Poznan!
