Hotel Opera

My husband and I traveled by bus from Krakow to Tarnowskie Gory, and spent five nights at Hotel Opera. Our stay was just amazing! Hotel Opera is a full-service Boutique Hotel. OPERA HOTEL -- this is a fairly new Hotel with a modern lobby, high ceilings, spacious dining room and lots of space everywhere. The main stairway and hallways are wide and impressive. The rooms are much more spacious than the average hotel room in Europe, including the bathroom which was large and very well equipped. THEIR RESTAURANT --- we loved all the meals in the dining room. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of variety of dishes for all tastes. We also had lunch and dinner more than once. Overall the quality and taste of the food was above and beyond what we expected, even the presentation was, WOW! SERVICE -- the service at the reception desk, as well as in the dining room was impeccable. The staff speaks English, was extremely friendly and attentive, and will answer all your questions. The reception desk is open 24 hrs. FACILITIES -- As we walked around and explored the Hotel, we were surprised to see their large facilities with event and conference rooms. On one day there was a medical conference going on, and on the weekend we saw a wedding take place... such a great Hotel with very attractive facilities. LOCATION -- we went to Tarnowskie Gory so we could visit and explore the area as there's a lot nearby. We visited many old historic sites, too many to list. But here are a few that comprised our trip to Tarnowskie Gory: The MAIN SQUARE is less than two blocks away. It's a lovely and very lively Old Square with many shops and eateries. UNESCO site -- we visited the Tarnowskie Gory Lead-Silver-Zinc Mine and its Underground Water Management System... it was a fascinating experience!! THEATER -- we also attended a concert at the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra Theater in Katowice. This is such a modern and impressive cultural world class venue. SPORTS -- we watched a great soccer match at the Slaski Stadium -- another impressive venue for soccer and sports. All in all, our stay and experience at Hotel Opera was just amazing! Their hotel rates are unbelievably low. As very seasoned world travelers, we can say that Hotel Opera delivered beyond expectation. We highly recommend for anyone who wants to explore that region of Poland which has a lot to offer, old and modern, and also a rich history.
