This hotel is a little hard to find but when you get there you see it is worth the effort. The vista that opens up as you enter the drive is reminiscent of a fairy tail. There are two beautiful ponds and then the gorgeous building. 

Our room was on the first floor. We had a view to the forest. The room was well equipped and the soft bed was heavenly.

Inside the hotel is a pool with heated water. It is excellent. There are also some water toys which operate by pressing a button under the water. I didn’t try them but there is a sauna and gymnasium. 

We enjoyed a few drinks after our swim. The waiters were fabulous and readily joined us in our jokes about the chocolate massage. The beverages were good and well priced.

Our tariff included breakfast. I had full English. Lashings of bacon and sausages. My wife said the scrambled eggs were delicious. The coffee was self serve from an espresso machine and was good. The water melon had lovely flavour. There was an assortment of salads and breads and pastries and juices.

We loved our stay.

Straight out of Grimms Fairy Tales

One of our best holidays in 2020, a year of Pandemic when we really relaxed and unwinded stress of our daily life. Check-in was very smooth even though a bit late from our side. Breakfast was simply splendid with a lot of variety including local cheeses and a cherry on top were their desserts full of seasonal fruits. And then on our 2nd day of stay we met a very pleasant Mrs. Monika who was very concerned about our late check-in and in general if everything is Ok in our room , she tried her best to plan our holidays with her suggestions and believe us we simply blindfoldedly believed it. All the recommendations were great. In general everyone in Hotel greeted us with a big smile. Spa was simply amazing and relaxing , my Wife took some massage packages and she was well satisfied. Property has a well maintained Volleyball and Tennis courts which you can use for free. And in general this village Dwernik where hotel is located is in a very peaceful area where you can relax and have wonderful views even during breakfast , spa or during relaxing in garden area. We strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who like to be in peaceful surroundings and love nature.

Tranquilizing,Calm & Amazing Hospitality

We stayed in this place twice in 2019, first time in may, second in july. We spent two nights there in may - we got a triple room upstairs, pretty much just above the main entrance. Quite spacious room, with big windows, nice view over the hotel grounds with a little pond in the middle. Room wasn't that much noisier, than usual, even if busy main hotel entrance door was just below us. Restaurant with good variety of foods for breakfast, also good choice of meals for lunch or dinner. When we were there first time, the new extension (more rooms and pool with spa) to the hotel was well underway, and we even had a joke with the receptionist, that it won't be posible to open the new wing at the beginning of july, judging on the stage the building work was. And then we visited Caryńska in july for another 2 nights. Previous arrangements to get the same room upstairs seemed to be forgotten, and we were led to newly build part, through a restaurant (not especially convenient) - we got there late in the night, so we couldn't see the state of the building from the outside, but as soon as we got to the room, it became clear, that furnishing of the room hasn't been done yet. I mean all furniture was there, and at the first sight there was nothing wrong with the room, but slowly we started discover small things, clarly pointing that rooms were handed to the owners in hurry, and ther were still things to do, such as some sockets on the walls were missing and covered temporarily, some walls had to be painted again, while others were done completely. Room was very cold, just like the heating was just turned on for the first time ever. And before we went to bed we had to kill about a dozen flies. And then it came out the toilet didn't work. So we called for maintnance people, and so about midnight, after long jurney, we had a serious conference in our room, of about 5 people (including owners) on what to do with toilet being out of work - it turned out it wasn't broken at all, only the water in the system was still shut, and needed to be opened before first use. Next day we had a conversation with owner lady, who decided to move us to different room in old part of hotel for the second night (so we quickly moved), and she offered a spa package free of charge - which never materialised. We probably will visit this place again in future, all those troubles were due to rush to open the new extension, I bet they got it sorted by now. But when you not sure, if you can provide good quality service to your customers - you shouldn't advertise or sell it at all.

Good start, second stay terrible

+ Very friendly and well-intentioned staff
+ Large grounds, with tennis court, volleyball court, and flying fox
+ Good food in restaurant
+ Comfortable beds
- Rooms in new wing (not all of which are yet used) are not quite finished
- The safe in our room was not attached to anything (it could easily be removed from the room)
- Poorly designed bathroom (in my opinion): nowhere to put anything near sink (no countertop) or in shower; door to shower is not designed to be closed, and bathroom floor gets wet when you take a shower
- Rooms are cleaned only on request and "cleaning" apparently does not include making the bed or topping up the liquid soap or toilet paper
- On the second of our three nights there was no hot water (which was rather inconvenient after a hot day of hiking).  (The hotel offered us a 20% discount for a future stay as compensation, which is really no compensation given that we live several thousand kilometers from the hotel.)
- One of the liquid soap containers in the bathroom fell off the wall (to which it was glued with not-very-strong glue).  When the soap ran out, no one in the hotel appeared to know how to refill the container.
- When we checked in, I asked for advice about hiking, and the clerk said that none of the hotel staff know anything about hiking.  Given that the main (only?) attraction of the area is hiking, that is a bit surprising.
- The restaurant menu is only in Polish and during our visit few restaurant waitstaff spoke English.  The hotel is in Poland, so that is perhaps unsurprising.  However, the hotel does advertise in English on booking.com, so one might expect some accommodation of non-Polish speakers.  (Other guests who spoke Polish and English helped us.  Google translate could also be used.)
- On one evening, the service in the restaurant was exceptionally slow.  The waitstaff realized that we waited an unreasonable amount of time, and did not charge us for our meals, which was fair compensation.

Despite the negatives, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel; with some effort on the part of the management, the hotel could become an excellent choice.

Potentially excellent hotel that is not yet quite ready for full house

We stayed here for few days and i can say that this hotel is worth its prize. The staff there is very professional. Whenever  we needed something, they were always on our call. I can distinguish food,  which is the best food i’ve ever eaten(probably the best in bieszczady mountains.) I had an opportunity to be served by a very friendly waitress, who didn’t have anything against helping me with chosing good dishes. The portions were enormous! You could easily fed up two persons with one porkchop. Delicious meals only served in Carynska. 
you people, who give negative comments, know nothing about good food! why do you even bother coming to bieszcady if you can’t enjoy great things right before you.

I do recommend this hotel!

We spent a few nights here as our base for walking the many hiking routes and visiting the local towns. The Hotel is of modern (European) design which makes it fairly unique in the Bieszczady area to choose from. The area is remote and very quiet (exactly what we wanted) so bear that in mind when planning your trips and excursions. Good amenities such as a restaurant, tennis courts, sauna etc. We found the staff to be helpful and pleasant and quick to resolve a couple of requests we had. We booked the ‘Brown apartment’ which was spacious and clean. On the positive side we really liked the modern feel to the room, and the Sauna and Jacuzzi in the apartment but due to the design of a relatively small window (compared to the large room) and the brown colour scheme (our choice remember!) it was quite dark most of the time… though this was a benefit when lying in the Jacuzzi with a cold beer after a long hard day walking and hiking and we could look up at the ceiling which looked like the sky full of stars!

Of course you can always find little things to pick at, such as the short cable for the mini fridge (quickly resolved) and twin beds together (standard in this part of the world) but generally we were very happy, and for the price of the large apartment per night we would get a very basic room in a moderate Hotel in the UK so rating it on a value for money basis it is excellent!
