For those saying that you should do research before you book, google doesn't explain what PRL stands for. Nevertheless.. I was expecting a 2* communist style hotel not a dump.

Liked · - very good location, close to the centre and close to the bus stop
- supermarket just across the parking lot
- price was good, but you get what you pay for in the end.
- balcony with mountain view to dry clothes and keep our boots

Disliked · booking last minute there wasn't much choice, so we knew it's not a modern hotel when we booked. Since everything else left was 100 euro+/night, we took the plunge but didn't expect this:
- old, outdated and a bit communist style.
- furniture needs change. It's so old, must have been bought 50 years ago. Couldn't even put my clothes in the wardrobe
- chairs were stained, old and dirty
- bed sheets and towels were ok.. cleanish but old and used.
- beds were terrible. It said futon bed but these were from WW1 times.. could feel the wooden frame underneath the mattress. Very uncomfortable and quite short. at 5.8 it was just long enough
- a funky old smell in the room. Had to buy an air freshener from the supermarket
- Because of COVID, according to the receptionist, nobody cleaned the room for a week. No clean towels, sheets or trash taken out. Ridiculous and unacceptable. We had to pile up the trash on the balcony. Is not like we would have been in the room and interacted with them. Thank God we had our own towels.
- window curtains were too short to cover the entire window so morning light would come inside
- could hear the noise from other floors/rooms, especially the tv late in the night
- bathroom was not very clean, no toiletries, no toilet paper. We had to buy everything. The door also had a vent at the bottom and smell would come into the room
I could go on and on but there was just too much wrong with it. Is the cheapest hotel I've stayed in, but also the worst by far. I've had better hostels. This has 2* from some mid 60's standards maybe, but in 2020 it should be shut down. I guess we were happy there weren't any cockroaches.
If you really are on a budget.. perhaps ..but even then.. just avoid it. It was so bad I didn't even bother to take photos. My friend only stays in hostels and he said this was bad even for his standards.

Avoid. Worst hotel ever

My sisters & I went for 3 days last week,at PRL Hotel, it is a terrible hotel, no lifts, we are over 70yrs & we had to carry our Luggauge,up 60 stairs,as we were on the 3rd floor !!,towel only one, ,for as long as is your stay, if we wanted to change towels ,you have to pay to get fresh towel, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone !!certainly ,they will never ever see us there !!!

Horrible Hotel

Fair enough! Exactly PRL experience you can’t expect a lot if you are choosing this hotel because you all ready choose! 
I don’t understand people who complain about the place. 
Wake up people!!! PRL if you don’t know what that is check and read about the system before you book and complain later. 
Perfect hotel you can see and feel PRL everywhere.

PRL 

Our group stayed in this Communist era hotel during our recent trip to Poland.  Location was good, wi-fi only worked in the lobby, one of the thinnest mattresses that I ever slept on and a very basic breakfast.  Location was good for a morning walk into the woods and brook nearby.

Ok not so good points, very dated room decor, basic bed, cabinet and shower. This is reflected in the price, this room was a cheap deal roughly £14 for a double per night. The room was small but functional, it was warm, as clean as possible, staff were polite enough but spoke hardly any English, good bits cheap,clean,warm,dining facilities only with pre booking, a supermarket which is right next door was great, cooked pizza,bagels,sausage rolls, pies etc were cheap and great on those cold walkers. I would stay there again as we were only flitted in and out of the hotel no time spent there only too sleep really. Lots to do in Zacopane there was a group of 11 and this is our 3 rd year we have visited. A must for snow lovers and walkers is say.
