Very beautiful and relaxing place. Friendly hosts, local producers. Calm atmosphere. Highly recommend to visit and spend some splendid days in the natural environment. Pets friendly. Nice swimming pool. Lots of olive trees. Very quiet.

Splendid days

It's a marvelous place to explore Alentejo with its small villages and peaceful landscapes. We have been here in the end of may and everything of this accomodation was friendly, inviting and comfortable. The working farm includes plenty of animals including a friendly dog, horses, pigs, cats... Our children loved to play with Faya the small bordercollie of the owner César. After roaming around during the day we felt like coming at home in the afternoon. After a jump into the ample pool there were a lot of other attractions. Cesar, his parents and employee Bo are sympethatic and helpful people. We spend several evenings with them cooking together, having barbecue and discussing about lots of topics. They are full of plans and energetic people, with an immense knowledge about many issues.
The farm is quite big with lot of old olive trees as well as gardens and fields. The accomodation is comfortable and everything, which is needed is there. I can recommend this place without any hesitation and we would like to come once again. The region is also in winter very mild with sunny days and green ambiance.

accomodation cannot be better

In the soft and gentle hills that mark the Alentejo region, I found this gem. A wonderful retreat to come to a full rest. Its proximity to the many different towns and sights in the region made for nice day-trips. The owner clearly knows his stuff, and could tell me about the region and its culture, history and cuisine. Even to spend a day on the property itself proved to be a fine choice. The calm and quiet and clear skies - go stargazing at night! - were very relaxing. There's plenty to see and take in there during the day, with different animals around and projects going on. (Right then construction was being finished on a guest house made from straw bales and clay, sourced from a farmer nearby. Construction started on a greenhouse to provide produce even in wintertime!)

The house I stayed in was well maintained, clean, spacious, and had a lovely homely feel to it. Very nice to come back to after a day spent elsewhere. There were several foodstuffs for sale: organic olive oil (from olives grown at the same property!), local wines, and different homemade jams and chutneys depending on the time of year. Delicious!

A true experience, will come back next year for sure!
