We stayed at Vila Emilia Oct 2017, Had a double bed with bathroom. Nice to have a kettle to make a drink and sit outside in the little courtyard, Great location for walking to the marina and old town, also not that far from the train to the strip. Quiet location with a hairdresser next door which was nice. Had a tv in the room, safe and large wardrobe.Staff at Vila Braga were very helpful and it was nice to leave our bags there and use the shower room after being on the beach for our last afternoon. The air con was welcome.

Short break

Great place to use as a base to explore Albufeira, just a couple of streets away from the top cliff and its elevator down to the beach and a 5 minute easy walk to the square. Small but very clean rooms with TV, fridge and free air conditioning.

Quiet clean hotel

Stayed for 3 nights in July and can't fault it. It's in a great location just outside the hustle and bustle of the main old town, a steady 5-10min walk, the room was small but spotless, beds were comfortable, wifi and air con included and new showers. Only minor niggle was no balcony space so drying your towels etc was difficult unless you left them in the communal courtyard, which was beautiful.
I haven't been to Albufeira for a few years and I was amazed at how busy it was! And also how expensive - we got caught out a couple of times by going into bars asking for a gin and tonic and rum and coke and getting charged up to €15 for the 2 drinks. Even the cheaper bare we found were charging €10 for 2 drinks. I can imagine if you're a family on holiday here you'll need to take out a second mortgage. Food was good value if you shopped around but for 3 days we got through €200 each and that was being careful. 
The emilia doesn't have a pool and after doing much research I came across a bar on the outskirts of town that allows access to a pool 'Fat Cats' we walked one day and it's a good 40mins so we got an uber back and that's a maximum of €5 so factoring in the sun beds on the beach are €7.50 each it was cheaper to get an uber there and back and spend the day by the pool. Also the drinks and snacks at Fat Cats are much better value and they have happy hour on all day - try the alcoholic slushes at €3.50 - lovely. Uber is a great way to get around the area. All in all we had a great time, it's. a nice place to go with a mix of all ages and nationalities but if you're on a budget you're in for a shock! 

Great location, clean and good value 

We have just returned from the Vila Emilia after a 5 night stay.  Check in was late (after midnight) but the 25 euro charge is well worth it.  We were seen to within minutes of arriving at the Vila Branca and taken to our room at the Vila Emilia which was a 2 minute stroll.  The room was very clean and first impression was good.  Small tv on the wall,  air con unit (free),  free wifi,  small fridge and a decent size shower room.  All in all we couldn't fault it.  The setting is quaint,  nice courtyard for a very relaxing time.  Its a 10 minute stroll to the main square for the more lively clients.  and same to the beach so just fantastic setting.  two minutes to more relaxed bars.  We tended to go the Davids Bar just up the road.  2 euro a pint.  very relaxed (ok its on a road,  but this is more portugese than most of the if not all the bars in the main square id say.  David was an excellent host.  We didn't frequent for the price,  It was actually the best Sagres we had anyway. No contest.  Anyway,  back to the Emilia,  the setting is perfect for a relaxing break as a couple.  We cannot fault this place,  and like others,  our main regret is we couldn't stay longer but we will be back for sure and Vila Emilia will be our first choice.  We have stayed a few times in the Recife down the road as well as other places in town but the Emilia really was our perfect place bar none.  We wanted a relaxing break.  You cannot go wrong here.  I didn't get the name of the lady who we got taken to the Emilia to from Vila Branca but she was lovely,  very pleasant even on our late check in.  We would like to thank her and the Emilia for making our stay perfect.
We Will Definitely be back.

Great Relaxing Typical Portugal Stay

Stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend from 19th to the 23rd of June, and it was brilliant. Before we arrived, the reception emailed us to arrange a taxi from the airport to the accommodation at a discounted rate, which collected us straight from our flight.
Carla at reception was very friendly and checked us in nice and quickly and then walked us around the corner to our apartment where we were staying. She offered us a kettle to make tea, which was dropped up to our room the next day which was a nice touch. 
The room has Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV, a mini fridge and is comfy. 
There is a sea view outside the apartment where we were staying and we really enjoyed that during our stay. 
Our room was cleaned during our stay too and our beds made. Vila Emilia is also really close to the beach, and the Old Town night life and restaurants, literally a five minute walk. 
We will be back!! We loved it here. Albufeira and Vila Emilia are fantastic for a holiday. My only regret is that we did not stay for longer!
