Too bad for Booking.com and even worse for the hostel. I booked at a price and when I arrived I was told that the price had changed, after 640km of driving I had no choice but to give up but I won't come back. Too bad for Booking.com that doesn't do anything to control these abuses.

Everything about this hotel was annoying. No decent signage so you drive straight past it., infuriating check in, lying about the sea bass being wild, key to outside door not working, blocked loo, place swarming with flies, disgusting smell of old cooking oil etc etc . 

Comporta is charmless also

Don’t go

It's clean, simple and welcoming, super well situated for the beautiful beach of Cravalhal, and there's not a lot of options around the corner... the local restaurant is very convenient, good and typical.

Simple but good.

The place is full of flies. The waiter looks at you in a way that seems to be doing you a favor. He told us that there was nothing on the menu of what was cheaper. When 30 minutes later we saw that one of those dishes was served by locals. The dishes turned out to be charismatic. The fried fish was fried. The golden meal was on the table. The pulp line at the gourmet price. If you make a mistake in the orders. 70 euros for 3 dishes of fish a dish and 5 drinks.

A technical parade is wrong.

The rooms are conveniently furnished, but very dark and too narrow. The bathroom is hardly usable due to the tightness. Tourists like to even be offered food for over 70 euros without mentioning the price. However, the restaurant is very simple and is not likely to be in the price league. When we complained about the bill, the situation escalated. Definitely not recommended!

Bad and expensive accommodation!

This is a terrible place. The reception was extremely unfriendly. The room is kind of OK but the shower is extremely dirty. The structure to fix the shower head was broken. When I told the receptionist that this room was totally overcharged she told me that this was my problem, not hers. She was right: I was hiking with no other accommodation anywhere near. So I stayed and had an awful night as the owners run a bar and I was "entertained" throughout the night by singing and shouting drunkards.

Dirty and overpriced

We booked for four nights to explore the area. The couple that attended us were very kind and that night we had a very good fish dinner at the bar.
 The room was very tired,  you could feel the springs in the mattress and it 
squeaked every time you moved, the bathroom flooded when we showered because the shower door does not close (that's why there was a bucket and a mop in the bathroom ), in the room there was an unbearable humidity and the worst thing is that the mosquitoes and spiders ate us alive. We only stayed the one night even though paying for four.

Disappointing

It's not exactly a 5-star hotel, but a simple hostel that at a fairly good price offers a room with bathroom and fridge, it's old, but pretty clean, and very close to the beaches.

 Economic and safe.

Room for three people, not very spacious with modest furnishings, bed linen/bathroom included and clean. Bathroom in the room....if you can call it a bathroom, a very small cabinet made in a corner of the room without any privacy. wifi not working in the room.

Economics where...

It has rooms with private and shared bathrooms, in our case only shared bathrooms remained, but it should be noted the cleanliness of the bathroom.The room with flat-screen TV, air conditioning and comfortable bed, freezer in the room.Economic and everything needed in a room.
